Tesco kids' clothes - false economy?

Can anyone tell me whose cheap jog bottoms don't shrink in the tumble drier or wash? I have dreadful problems buying for my teenagers who can wear small men's stuff as well, but I've tried Tesco, Asda and Primark and they all shrink 6 inches! (OK, it says not to tumble dry them but the writing on the wash label is too small or my arms are too short or something!)Signature removed for peace of mind0

There are excellent value for money and I find wash well. I just go for the basics - jeans, velour leggings, fleeces - as I hate the trendy stuff. I pass most of her stuff onto a friend and I've had stuff passed to me as well. Maybe I'm just lucky! I'd like to buy Next more often as I like the quality of the clothes but can't afford to at the moment. I find most clothes get a real hammering at pre-school, so I'm not terribly upset when something is ruined by paint!
i try to buy clothes for my son for nursery that look like they have already been painted on...plain t shirts look awful with felt tipand paint splodges, but any t shirts with a two or more colour pattern last much longer on my little budding artist0 -

I've bought lots of clothes from Tesco Cherokee and they have alway lasted quite well and even been handed down however the Value stuff is a definate no no to hand down.
A good tip though is Gap Kids clothes. My sister buys clothes for my two nephews from there. You have to buy in the sale to get the best deals but their sales are absolutely fantastic. You just can't beat it. When they reduce the clothes they really reduce by quite a lot sometimes more than half price so you end up with a really good item for a really good price, well worth the money. However, when they have sales you have to be quick because they clothes will go quick as a flash. Also you have to dig a bit to get the real bargains but they are definately there so keep your eyes open. Happy shopping.0
