Help please.
I was going to buy this laptop from Costco http://www.johnlewis.com/231497011/Product.aspx?source=63258 (was tempted by the 2 year warranty and good reviews) but when I went to see the laptop it was a lot bigger than expected so I'm back to the drawing board.
I want a laptop that I can:
- watch movies/videos on
-upload pics/videos
- internet browsing (obviously)
- good speed (fed up of my sluggish Dell)
- webcam
-decent make
I want to spend no more than £400
Help please as I find this all mind boggling!!
Thank youI love a bargain and saving money! I don't have any debts and mortgage repaid in 20200 -

Nothing to be done with the DELL? What is the full model number or preferably the Service Tag?0 -
I will try to 'restore' my Dell once I have a new laptop...if I can (bit useless with technology) I want to keep it for my daughter to use. There are a few keys missing, the battery is rubbish, the adapter doesn't charge the rubbish battery, etc.
Service Tag is: 1LP3M3J
I've seen this but not sure the specs are good for what I need? Not heard much about Asus

If you need an i5 processor, then maybe. This shop return Toshiba Satellite L750-16L at £254 is much better value. Don't worry about the refurb tab, it has a full warranty, should look as new and has the same returns policy as a new machine. See page 112 for others who have bought this machine.0 -

Keyboard is not expensive, neither is a new battery.0 -

The thread is for laptops, not Netbooks.
How much is the offer for the Netbook?0 -

For the same money this is better (from above) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOSHIBA-SATELLITE-L755-LAPTOP-500GB-15-6-PENTIUM-B940-4GB-RAM-SILVER-REFURB-/330708473177?pt=UK_Computing_Laptops_EH&hash=item4cffc2d559If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
Thanks Grumpycrab for your advice on this.
What do you think is the best value of the Asus with Ebuyer and the refurbished Toshiba mentioned above?0
