I know what you mean about money and pay rises. I havent had one for years and cost of livivng etc, am just on over minimum wage. Mum wondered if I can afford to pay myself a little more yes probably now, but not in 4 months when we have our quiet time... Never mind I have a good life can come to work in what I want can skive when I like I know am onto a cushy number!
I broke my phone about 3 months ago I think I may have thrown a strop somewhere.DansDad got fed up and replaced it last week
Shame I was getting used to only paying £19.99 p/m phone/broadband.....

Still haven't fixed my phone! must remember to get it done.......
Had a good weekendmade the cucumber pickle which is soo nice that DH ate half a jar straight away! DH has got another batch of cranberry cider on the go and I've got plum wine starting in a bucket. I've got two huge bowls of plums sat in the kitchen, ready to de-stone and I think I'll make jam and some plum brandy.
Our first anniversary went well with my present for him not turning up!Hopefully it will come soon. DH got me handmade origami replica's of our wedding outfits. They are really original
We then had 6 mini arguments on Sunday! *rolls eyes* But also had a lovely three course meal which cost all of £5 and saw Seven Pounds on DVD which made me cry but wasn't what I'd class as a great film as it was too slow.
Got treated to lunch todayand have a dress fitting tonight - hope I fit into it ok, I really need to find some supporting underwear as its strapless! Really wish I was drinking again...to help me be nice to the other bridesmaid but then if I need a drink to be nice - it's not saying much is it!!!! But I will be nice and polite because I'm a lovely, luscious, delusional SmlSave
and I've already bought her christmas present lol
Got another Hen Party this Saturday too so the bank account will look very depleted.
The kitchen contents have all been listed - we've been overpending on the groceries (see sig) - and I just need to mix and match to create several meals. Ham and pea soup is in the slow cookerThere's surprisingly little food compared to how much there normally is. There seems a lot in the freezer but most of its frozen berries waiting to be jammed/made into wine.
DH cashed in one of his old phones and got £70's for it! Have asked him to forward this to me so it can go towards the windows (can't wait till we can op again) Can't remember if I mentioned but silly moo forgot to process his overtime sheet and so we're on basics this month. But I guess it'll mean a fair amount will be coming in next month.

Well done for all that home cooking. Funny though, that anything home made (jam, pickles, bread etc) gets consumed at twice the rate of shop products!! (unless it's just my household
)

Dress fitting went well, got told off for forgetting my bra (the one I'm going to wear, not that I didn't have a bra on!) But I think the seamstress was just plain grumpy thou. The bride looks gorg.
Was a bit of a scramble yesterday, managed to swim 24 laps, eat half a sausage roll and get dress fitted. Finished at 10pm! and had to go searching for the boys who were in a pub but had no signal, were beginning to despair after 20mins but thankfully the phones started working, phew. Was going to be naughty and order chinese but as it closes at 10:30 we were too late to order!! Had a MS late night snack of a cheese toastie
Not going to the cinema tonight, first time in a long time but DH has to be up super early to pick his brother up from the bus station. Will just have to watch Sherlock then, sigh, what a hard lifeCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Checked out the indian we're going to Saturday and it looks like you can get a three course meal for £17 which doesn't seem too bad. If I can stick to being AF I might just be able to afford it. Must keeping thinking positive thoughts.

Hi, everyone
It's Friday afternoon!!!! yay!
Am sat here with a cup of coffee trying to stay awake through the afternoon.
Found a £20 thomas cook voucher yesterday which brings my total to £80In the pile are also a £10 M&S voucher, £15 Debenhams voucher and I need to count up my Tesco points but I'm sure there's over £15
Had a wander into Debs at lunch but couldn't decide whether to treat myself to something or use the voucher for Xmas.....so I left without getting anything. :A Counted the tesco vouchers and I have £20!
Plan for tonight is to go swimming with Mum and then sit down and stone all 300000000000 plums. A work collegue came in with an armful of empty jars so I'm good to go and it looks like it might be the ideal baking day tomorrow (rainy) and I can get plum jam, courgette chutney, spag bol and bread made.
A friend has offered to be designated driver tomorrow which is very kind and so I've kindly offered to join her in being AFThat way no one will wonder why I'm not drinking.
On looking at the joint account there's a possibiliety that we could pay £500 towards the debt this month if we keep our spending undercontrol - here's hoping nothing unexpected turns up!
Hope everyone has a good weekend

I didn't drink a drop of alchol this weekend :A
Which was a very good thing as I came home at 12:30 Sat night to the fire alarm going off and the house full of smoke. _pale_
I'd left my plums 'dripping' in a glass bowl on the hob and someone (I have a good guess who :silenced:) accidently bushed against the cooker and managed to turn 3 of the 4 hobs on. So it boiled dry and then set on fire. By a stoke of luck I'd covered the bowl with foil instead of cling film and it contained the flames so there's no damage to the kitchen.
Went foraging and manged to replace the plums I'd lostGot some more too
I baked bread, made gnocchi, plum jam and a bacon n onion pud - feel like a baking champion
