The leaking does settle down. A friend of mine used to catch the leaks in a bottle for bubs later - waste not want not.

I found for me, it was worse with disposable breast pads as they were too absorbant. I got some washable ones from boots which were a thick cotton pad. They didn't have the sticky bit to put them in my bra, but I found that they sat still and were absorbant enough. There were 3 sets in the box, and I used to stick them in the washing machine in a little net bag.

I used infacol with both of mine. A great help. I found DS1 was really collicky, and I could guarantee certain things I ate affected him, like if I had a glass of wine or if I ate broccoli. Ds2 was completely unaffected, and the feeding was much easier because I wasn't trying to work out what was wrong all the time.

I hope any of that is useful.

I also used to sit with a large pint glass of water or squash, and something to nibble on at every feed in the early days. It all helps.

You sound like it is going well.

I also paid the bit extra for the nut dispenser.

    That sounds very painful! :rotfl:

EDIT: Maybe as a male I came into this thread at the wrong time! See above.

I've taken the advice and spent most of today asleep, eating and drinking and feeding Jacob. Dinner's out of the freezer and I got a bit of fresh air with a 20 min walk.
I'm good thanks Smlsave, am 30 weeks on Monday, bump is lovely. I do love being pregnant and this is my last baby so trying to enjoy it as much as possible. Bit tired but that's to be expected! Iron a little low at 10.2 so have just been to buy some spatone.
Glad to hear its going well Cath :) I've still got spatone here - DH is using it as a pick-me-up after drinking too much homemade mead!

I've got shells to collect the leaks cha, but you're not allowed to wear them for longer than 40mins.
Day 2 of using infactol and it's defintly helping to create bigger burps. :)

LOL beachie, I'll let you know how the nut dispenser goes :D

The breadmaker is a big hit :) We'll be as big as houses soon after eating so much!

    Hi hun,

Glad things are going well with Jacob. I'd love to see a piccy of him, can give you my FB details if you don't want to post on here?

It looks like you have been as absent from here as me! Hopefully you are getting into a little bit of a routine now (or at least having time to shower and get a cuppa ;))

Miss your posts on here. Take care x

I find with breastfed babies the wind goes down, DD rarely burped but would trump and fill her nappy while I was feeding her! :)

I've PM'd you LittleBit - good to hear from you :)

I'm having a pj day today and Jacob is in just his nappy as it's soo hot! I'm thinking that I might even be brave and take the nappy off

Jacob too enjoys filling his nappy while feeding or immediantly after a change ;) little so-n-so

The MF drearm is going to take another hit soonish as we're looking to sell and buy another (slightly bigger) house. So our mortgage is likely to go back up to 25 years and have at least £30,000 added to it. I've got an estate agent coming round Friday to value the house and an appointment with Natwest to discuss mortgage options on Saturday.

oooh good luck, have you seen somewhere you like? At least by starting the MF journey you have made the upgrade easier/less expensive by increasing the equity in your own home.
