20 weeks already! ....cant believe it!
I can now. Lots of books in one place that you can take with you without the weight or the bulk. I'm used to reading books on my iPhone so now I am considering a Kindle purely because it's better on the eyes, a bigger size and the battery life is much better.
Maybe for next Christmas if I still want one.Mini Challenge - Halve 2nd Mortgage by Year EndStarting: £10,000 Currently £8,142.62£3,142.62 to go!0 -
H smlsave,
Sorry I have not been on before, I tend to lose track cos I don't know how to subscribe to a thread.
Many congrats on your bump, hope it all goes well. Enjoy every minute, I had 3 and loved being pregnant many, many moons ago. Wait till you start to actually waddle cos you can't walk properly, god thats fun.
PS have gas and air, not epidural. Takes too long with that. My first was 13 hrs with pain relief and 2nd and third about 30 mins without cos I let nature take over. :rotfl:

Is your DD behaving better Cath? i forgot to ask on your thread.
I still have ginger biccies by my bed, tucs and pretzels in the cupboard and Jacob crackers at work!:rotfl:
Yes thank you, we have introduced a reward chart, she still ends up in our bed at some point tho but it is better than when we were having no evening. My tip to you, introduce routine asap, everyone told me to be baby led, i fed on demand and was terrified of breaking the bond! I realise now that all babies love their mummies no matter what! I put so much pressure on myself to do everything 'right' and it just made for a stressful first 6 months.H smlsave,

Totally agree, I had fab labour and DD was a whopper 9lb 10.5oz. I am hoping for a home waterbirth this time!Oooh the 20 week scan is fab, its amazing what they can do these days. My sis has just had her baby and he's so tiny. Its lovely having babies around.
I loved my scan, they did a little bit in 4d and it was amazing seeing the blood flow through all the organs etc. I just kept saying 'is the baby ok?' You will be amazed at how much the baby has changed in 8 weeks.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Also meant to comment on the biscuits. I remember trying to eat ginger biscuits quietly in bed at 3am (they are ridiculously noisy to eat!) and always used to take mini sausage rolls and apples everywhere with me.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Go to the top of the page and click on thread tools - then click on ADD to subscription - think that's it.
Then to see the threads you have subscibed to click on User CP, which is also at the top0 -
Just caught your message to me.
Littlebit seems really good. She had her scan and found out it is another little boy. I haven't seen her post very much on MSE, but i think she is still about now and then. She had a new diary on DFW, is that the one you mean?0 -
I’ve been having a look at the joint account and it looks good with a balance of £340 with 6 days to go J It looks so good as I’ve paid this months Cc bill of £160.00 out of my savings.

Not too bad for January eh?I’ve just booked hair appointments though which I guestimate will be £50 for the two of us (I foresee a pub lunch too). I tried to book with a family friend who normally charges £10 a cut but either she’s on holiday or just not interested as I’ve had no response. *shrug* I’ll be telling DH that he can get it cut shorter than normal to make it last longer
He’d be very happy just to shave it off but there’s no way I’ll let him do it – I’ve seen pictures.
We have an OD on the account of £500 so on the 1st Feb any money over our budget of £1400 will be sent to the Maternity account.
February will definitely be a bit harder with Valentines day and we’re treating my parents to a meal for £40 (we promised them this in July 2010 for their anniversary present)
Just booked myself a massage and facial too but this will be coming out of my personal account, I have £100p/m to spend as I wish.
The kindle still doesn't really appeal to me much - perhaps I just need a really good book on there. DH however is seen reading on it every night so at least it's getting used
:rotfl:at you eating ginger buscuits in bed at 3am CathI like the idea of having a routine as I'm a bit of a control freak at times, or at least I like to pretend I'm organised. Good to hear that the reward chart is working well.
PS have gas and air, not epidural. Takes too long with that.
Thanks for letting me know about LittleBit michelleI'm subscribed to her diary on DFW and it's been quiet for a while. Good to hear she's ok, bet she's really chuffed
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

smlsave I was more scared of having an epidural than the pain of giving birth! It's all about what scares you most I think :eek:
I "enjoyed" both my kids births (if that's the right word) But there are so many random variables it's impossible to plan. Keep an open mind (which I'm sure you will, as you are so sensible).
oh, and well done on the money saving.0 -
well done on the moneysaving smlsve - fantastic for january as well!!
cant comment on giving birth tips Im afraid!Im sure you will do fine tho - and have alittle smlett at the end to make up for it!
