Congratulations. Joining the MFW baby boom. One thing, no idea if you were trying or not but folic acid, if not already taking it get yourself a bottle ASAP :) I'm 3rd time around so been there done that ;) One thing that annoyed me 1st time was the DR not being as excited as we were so don't feel down if s/he isn't popping the champagne corks

  • Yay :j:j:j That will work out so well getting the holiday and the baby, but boo to not being able to sample the rum cocktails. You will have to bring some home for afterwards so you can try it then.

As lilac says, get some folic acid if not taking it already as the spinal cord will be being made in the next week or so and it is very important.

The drs receptionist will probably add you to the midwife book. I had a home visit for booking me in and filling in all mine and DHs details (about half an hour ish) and then scan about 12 weeks, and first midwife appointment around 15 weeks.

You poor money saver you buying a 2nd test. Tests are never wrong when they say yes. :rotfl: Enjoy it, and keep us all updated with how you are getting on.

I think it's mad to think that little line changes your life so much! I wasn't convinced and did a second test and then kept my test stick until my 12 week scan!

Round here we don't need to see the Dr but go straight to the midwife. Hoping i get to make my own appt soon!

Thanks for the offer stacey :) I'm likely to take you up on that!

I think that both you and Cath are trying for another atm :) We'll have another set of MFW babes next year hopefully :D

I can't image onions with icecream Billy. yuk. Do you actually know someone who ate that?!?

I've got folic tablets Lilac and Michelle, now I've just to remember to take them! Thank you so much for telling me about them.

Good idea :) DH will just have to drink enough for two :rotfl:

DH is worried that we might not be able to go on the holiday and we might lose the money. I've told him that it'll be fine but I'm under orders to call the insurers tomorrow. He's going to be reading through the T&C's of the travel agents (I have already done this!)

I rang the Doctors this morning and I have to go and see them on Thursday (that's a whole week! *stamps foot*)

I will not do loads of research until I've seen the Dr,

I plan to join TPA under the table anyway, to save chairs and less distance to fall when I've drunk your home-brew :D
