Well, it looks like this winter may be the calm before the storm.

Have had it on for the odd hour or too in the evenings. Still have my winter duvet on the bed.
Where is the damnable global warming then:confused:

It's not global warming anymore. It's climate change. Or "hedging your bets"... ;)

That bloke who was going to paddle all the way to the completely melted north pole had better have packed some walking boots...

No, but I recently bought thermal vests and both chunky and thin jumpers to layer on top so I shall spend this winter not only warm as toast but looking devastatingly sexy as well! :D:o

No way are British Gas getting more of my money. It's big jumpers and blankets for me I'm afraid. I'm going to try and hold out for as long as poss!!

Completely off topic but the blythe doll in your icon is so cute!

Still no heating for us. We hardly used it last year because our boiler broke so we're used to many-a-layer by now!
  • Not put heating on at night yet but I have it on every morning on timer to keep the boiler ticking over - 15 mins per day. This cost me 9 pounds over 3 months!! (including heating hot water daily) Will be waiting for a while yet for the heating, and using blankets and stuff already.

  • I put my heater on last night. The thermometer said is was 18 degrees but it felt more like 8 degrees with this damp weather even with a jumper on! Felt guilty but not as much as when I woke-up in the chair some hours later!

I'm not bothered about style! There's a catalogue shop in Armley, I used to get real bargains when I lived there so I'll have a wander up and look there, thanks! And I did notice Asda had some mens jumpers cheap, I might get a couple of them.

Theres some good stuff in there at bargain prices.
