Talk on here...nobody knows you, I can tell you feel terrible but there will be a way around this. What has happened? ((((hug to you)))).
  • If you had to resign, you should still be entitled to some notice money. Can you find agency work to get you through?

I've resigned before, the shock wears off in a while.... keep your chin up sweetheart x

    Hi there
I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you sound pretty down.
Have you thought about talking to the Samaritans about things generally?
There are a number of different ways you can do this, including email and telephone.
    http://www.samaritans.org/

Also, as Kate705 says, there's lots of people here who will listen, offer sympathetic and constructive advice with being judgemental.
Maybe you could start by posting more information about your financial situation.

    Regards

    Sending hugs to you.

Martin Lewis says "he has never known a debt problem which cannot be solved, you need to take the emotion out of the equation" (this isn't a quote, just the general jist of one of comments to a poster on the DFW board).

If you post an Soa (incomings and outgoings) we will see if we can help.

If you do not feel up to that, please try and pay your priority debts which are the mortgage/council tax/ulitity bills and food.

We are not here to judge you, no-one on this board will do that, but if we can help you reduce your outgoings we will. There are plenty of knowledgable peeps on this board who can advise you.

You need to think of this month priority bills, can you e-bay stuff or maybe do a carboot?, every little helps.

    Please please keep on posting.

  • Yes just hang in there and talk to someone. Us on here or the samaritans. Just remember that the person who never made a mistake (or did something stupid) never made anything worthwhile. The only downside to mistakes is if you don't learn from them and move on. I suggest you learn from this one and move on cos there is a way out. That last sentence was not meant to be judgemental it's just that I don't want you to be an idiot like me and have to make the same mistake a few times before realising it not a good idea.

No, you mustn't think like ending it, losing your job or having a large mortgage isn't worth ending your life for, talk to us on here.

I think your first port of call is the CAB, I think you can access it online, read about terminating employment, have they done the correct thing, why didn't you want a disciplinary hearing? How you been warned of the same offence before? I am not judging you, but we need to know the full facts if we are to help you.

  • That seems very harsh indeed especially if you were not even warned of excessive internet usage. Its something that many many people do, myself included. Is there someone at work you can speak to in confidence?, please dont hand that resignation in yet until you find out all the facts.
