It may be worth waiting a while before planning your next trip to Bicester Village, as there are loads of new stores being built currently which they plan to open before Christmas. The whole of the original car park on the left hand side (as you stand facing the village) has been built on. Apparently they are all going to be clothing outlets plus a few more cafes (extra Starbucks, no doubt!) but I've not heard yet what 'names' are moving in.

Other than that, Bicester Village is nothing special at the moment. If you are coming though you might like to stop off at Bicester Avenue (the garden centre almost next door, just down the A34 towards Oxford) as it's huge. It has a good camping/outdoor store, Julian Graves, Lakeland Homewares, Laura Ashley, Craft Cenrtal and Hobbycraft (amongst others!). Nice restaurant, too.
  • I used to live near there and BV is 90% hideous vulgar overpriced items (some made with natural and human resources of heartbreaking quality) set in an environment with less charm (if possible) than Brighton Marina.
  • In my opinion Swindon Outlet Village is far superior to Bicester outlet. Bicester outlet is more upmarket, and its still too expensive. Go to Swindon outlet- bigger, better range of shops and a good food court :o

I do like the Italian restaurant they have there!

I went for the day with a friend back in July and it was the most frustrating day - if you're a size 6 or 16, or you have tiny feet then it's the best shopping day out but we couldn't find anything we liked in a 10 or 12. I've had some great buys from there from Diesel and French Connection when I've been on my way up or down from London and popped in for a bit but as a destination with a plan to come back laden with bags - very disappointing. I went with a good budget and came back having spent £2 and lunch! You could cry when the bargain Jimmy Choos only come in a size 3 :wall:
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
  • TAG OUTLET

We used to have a tag outlet in Gretna but they've closed and the only one now (that I know of) is in Bicester.
Couldn't warrant a trip down there but called the shop and they are willing to ship what I want:T
Wouldn't have minded a trip down but don't think OH would have agreed!!!!

I went Saturday and it was so busy. The only shop I go for a Timberland where I got another pair of sandals, they had reduced them down to £9.99. I paid £20 a few weeks ago for the same ones and I thought that was a bargain. They were so comfy I got another pair for next year.

Is there a Timberland shop there?

    OP, I LOVE BICESTER:j :j :j :j :j :j :j

I find the Ralph Lauren excellent, but I do take an XXL to add to the stereotype earlier!

I'm thinking of buying DH a watch for his up comming birthday.

But my budget was about £300.

As their watches start at about £550, am I likely to get anything for £300 in the outlet store:confused:
