Sorry to hear about your sons ipod, my son has lost one of these in the past and they are totally lost without them aren't they?
I shop at Chester which according to the front page sells ipods. I prob wont be going again til Thurs/Fri but will have a good look and write down how much etc, unless I hear on here that you're sorted.
However, I would recommend the Apple refurb store if you could possibly arrange somehow to buy one from there. My MacBook is a refurb and has been absolutely great. Course if they end up in the sale at Boots you're laughing!
Not sure what kind of ipod your son had and what size you're after as a replacement but I will leave a link to the Apple refurb store just in case it helps.
