  • To Mrs BB ..............your make up pics are great .....................it is the rest of us who need to clean up our act so to speak. Let's just stop using the original pics in our quotes and be selective in what we quote. I subscribe to another board which does not have quoting so we just start the post with RE: blah blah . it would also cut down the workload for CPG in setting up new threads each week!

Just a suggestion for making it a bit easier to read.......................not a judgement
  • I shall stop this from now on...and I will also stop my goodnight pics too, as I suppose these are unwanted and unneeded.

Please don't stop your make-up pics! I was trying to do the eyeshadow yesterday with my laptop next to the mirror for guidance!!

Has anyone ever tried this waxing product?

    http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=24037&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051

It was reduced this morning in my local store to £4 and I want to try it as it's suitable for sensitive skin but a bit nervous...last time I tried waxing my legs were so sore I couldn't wear trousers for a few days!!

    Morning

Mrsbb i love looking at your pics as they are so inspiring .....i will be trying some out when i have bought an eyeliner today ..who is going to teach me the fab looks now xx could you just post links ...........pretty please.

Off to boots today to get LO pics done (thanks again mouthscradle for the voucher xx) hoping she will not be in a grump and has lots of smiles for the camera lol might have a look around the store whilst i am there ....be rude not to lol

I'm not really sure what you mean hunni - I could post links to the pics, yes. But then people are still gonna need to ask how I did it, what I used, can I repost the link etc...which is still gonna clutter the thread with 'unwanted' chat, and to be honest - I feel that hacked off with it this morning, I can't be bothered with all the 'this thread isn't for that' comments, that will inevitably appear, and that I feel will be directed at me.

I am sorry if it seems I am being unfair, or mardy, or whatever....Its just I put of lot of effort in those pics, and a lot of time, and then to be told by a few that ..its not wanted or needed and it clutters the thread? Its a bit disheartening *apologetic smile*

    [snipped ...]

Last week I've seen the 17 eye pallete that was a GWP a few weeks ago, so I thought I try buying something + eye dazzle + pallette ... it went through ok at the till... and then the indian male SA saw that they both went through as free and said that I can't have them both for free ....

Totally unnecessary inclusion in your post mess0804.

Off to Boots - laters all.

  • Firstly, I just wanted to take the time to reply to multiple posts...I won't quote as there are a few...there's a lot of people complaining about 'unwanted chat' and 'too many' pics. So I thought I would hold my hands up, and say I'm guessing a lot of the 'too many' pics comments are aimed, indirectly at people like me. I have been posting, at people's request, and also for everyone to enjoy make up pics - all with directions and pics, which I thought the majority of people enjoyed. This is obviously not the case, and I for one feel foolish for wasting my time, doing the make up, taking the pics, posting directions and generally trying to help people.

I shall stop this from now on...and I will also stop my goodnight pics too, as I suppose these are unwanted and unneeded.

Right, back to boots....(I'll keep it related shall I, don't wanna get shot down by the correct post police :-p) does anyone know if there are any offers in store for gilette venus breeze razor replacements

Hi Mrs BB :waves frantically smilie: (Mods, if we're good can we have the smilies back now? )
I think a lot of the regular posters (including moi) appreciate the make up pics you do and also those that others have done (palice, ikkle pickle - can't remember anymore. LOL).
Personally I think that even when chat is eliminated from threads like these, it's still difficult sometimes to find the latest glitch because non-chat reports of what has recently worked in ** store or **** store make the thread longer anyway. Although the point about the dial up is very valid as I remember with dread those awful days when I had this and it can be frustrating waiting for a page to load.
Overall though, I don't quite see how a rule as such can be enforced and what is chat to one person is important discussion to another. Plus if we did all desert this thread and leave it barren with its glitches only, everyone would follow us to the chat thread to see what we were all up to and finding out anyway!

Back to Boots, I've just attached 3 of those No 17 vouchers to an email and printed them off like that so i can get 3 to a page of A4. I'm sure there is a proper way to do it but hey, not bad for a technophobe. :grins:

I've found your make-up ideas really refreshing. Please don't let it put you off, I really don't think people were referring to your make-up tips. I found I've got stuck in the [strike]the 1980's[/strike] a make-up rut and it's great having a few new ideas.
I think halting all chat throws out the baby with the bathwater (is that the right phrase ??).
