After school snacks

Hi, Does anyone have any ideas for feeding kids after school? My 2 daughters are always ravenous when they come home from school (just waiting for them now!!) and I run out of things to give them!!
I have tried toast, crackers, yoghurts etc.
It's just to keep them going until we have dinner which is usually about 5.30 - 6.00 p.m. so don't want to give them too much.
What do other people give their kids? Any ideas welcome.

Hi,
Nothing very exciting I'm afraid. Cereal, cereal bars, fruit salad or cheese on toast are favourites in our house!0 -
My kids are always 'starving' too. I meet them at school with a banana or something, but as soon as we get home they want their tea. I used to want us all eat as a family around 5:30 but I just make them something when we get in now, as the constant requests for food really annoyed me! Then they have some cereal for supper before bed. It does mean however, they don't eat the same as us unless it is food out of the slow cooker, so it is more work for me...0

Have a fruit bowl and let them help themselves.
My parents used to keep (and still do) keep their fruit bowl stocked with oranges, apples, bananas, grapes, plums etc and when I came in from school I could only have fruit until dinner time (we ate at 6.30-7pm). My mum always made a point that we should eat a family meal together, she would never make a meal for me and my siblings and a separate one for her and dad.
If I wanted anything else such as cake or biscuits then I would have to ask - sometimes my wish would be granted but sometimes not.0 -
Hi my daughters have these things as after school snacks if it helps:
Flapjacks, scones, small piece of cake, cookies (all hm)
Pieces of fruit/dried fruit such as raisins

tonight after creche my pair had youghurt, orange & raisins. The eldest also had a boiled sweet!
We often have a sandwich, some cheese (a bit random but my eldest will have it for breakfast sometimes), scones, fruit, jelly with fruit in etc
