I would seriously ring up the OR office and ask to speak to this ORs superior there not following there own rules there.
It would seem he is up to something thats for sure, but i wouldnt ring, this needs to be put in writing, outlining exactly why it is wrong so there can be no argument.
Its easy to get flustered on the phoneThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -

Can i ask is the CTC in your name, if so and if your OR did a separate sheet for each of you i get it to no IPA
The CTC is in both names, the OR said I didn't bring in enough for an IPA but hubby does.
The more I learn the more it seems like its a wrong decision to give us an IPA!
Thank you for explaning it all to me Blind, I'm very grateful!! This forum's a life saver!!0 -
But he cant count it all twice, not that im saying he has, but that may be another explanation.
If he says its joint it should have been split 50/50 on each of your income sections.
And iMHO that is wrong anyway as it is niether of your incomes, its paid for your kids, but im not going to start that one now, it will only cloud the issueThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -

Actually thats got me thinking thats what he has done, i will have to see how that would work out in the differant scenarious when i get a min or twoThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -
He was going to give us one for £240.00 a month......
Hmmm if you add CTC to yours and your OH,s it comes to £255 Still doesnt fit but may explain the £240 quoted above.
There is something very wrong with the way he has assesed this, no matter wich way i do it i cant get it to £200, even if you round it up or downThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -
I can get it to £208 IF i include CTC and CB as an income source for your OH which he may have rounded down to £200

This is how I filled it in, probably wrong lol!!
MONTHLY INCOME - Bankrupt
INCOME SOURCE 11,704
Total1,704
MONTHLY INCOME - Other sources
INCOME SOURCE 1: 350 (my wage)
INCOME SOURCE 2: 402 (CTC)
INCOME SOURCE 3: 276 (CB)
Total 1,028
TOTAL INCOME 2,732
Bankrupt's %age of Total Income 62
Other sources %age of Total Income 38
I can see where you've gone wrong Molly, under monthly income you need to put
1, 1702
2, 350
3, 402
Under Income - Othere sources you
1, 276 (CB)
But this doesn't get taken into account when the form calculates, you'll get the same result if you leave this box blank.
That gives you this result, which is what your IPA should be
Total Outgoings £2,334
Bankrupt's disposable income £122
Percentage to be collected 50%
Assessed monthly rate £ 61Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Molly, did he say what he'd put back on when he changed it from £240 to £200?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

I have changed the calculator to what you said and it matches your results now, thank you!
He didnt say what he'd changed, he told me £240 and then when he did hubbys after he said he'd lowered it to £200, said something about he should take 60odd% but he'd take a lower percentage instead??
Thanks for helping.
Molly

I've put down that all the outgoings are shared and it comes up like this:
Total Outgoings 2,334
Bankrupt's disposable income 358
Percentage to be collected 66
Assessed monthly payment rate 236
This is probably where he got the £240 from then??0
