  • I realised I haven't quite got the hang of this thread yet as I keep doing things in the wrong order and forgetting to check for the daily list. I cleaned the study and did financials and paperwork yesterday - and have more to do today as I want to get better deals on all the utilities and insurance (£5 p.m off car insurance so far, lots more to do!).

Since I didn't do it yesterday, does that mean I have to do the Master Bedroom today? Please tell me no and that I should wait till next week!

DH is out doing all the windows as we speak.

Got to get act together, so here's my version of today's list:

Thursday Thrills- Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
Clean floors in these rooms - done, but cheated really - all our floors have to be kept clear as I use a wheelchair (and trying to reach anything that does fall on the floor is a real faff).
    Level Two
Clean baths, toilets, don't forget the outside! and sinks.. shine the taps with a toothbrush - have to work up courage to tackle this one!
Clear any clutter from desk - done (yesterday)
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!! - Cup rings??? Not in my world, must use coasters...
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc - done (yesterday)
    Level Three
Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains etc - [STRIKE][/STRIKE] - don't have any
Wipe down tiles in bathroom.. defragment your pc while doing this.
Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins!
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required - we have a plastic shower curtain that I can't figure out how to clean properly, it isn't fabric, pvc so didn't think it should go in the washing m/c, anyone got any suggestions as wiping with cloth or hosing down just seems to leave streaky marks.
    Collect all the dirty laundry
    Extra mission: Take your pick!

    1. Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
    2. [STRIKE]Fling all those empty bottles and tubes[/STRIKE] - don't have any, OCD helps sometimes!
    3. replace any sponges, flannels, toiletries that need it
    4. [STRIKE]empty out the bathroom cabinet.. clean it.. fling what you don't need and stash the rest in a beautiful manner.. colour ordered so you have a cupboard rainbow..[/STRIKE] - see 2. above
Until I started this thread I didn't realise just how much of a control freak I really am... lol

I'd say leave it (cause I am :rotfl: ) I did kitchen on Monday, nothing on tuesday, nothing yesterday, am doing bathroom today because it needs it and I have hoovered all the downstairs rooms.

Good luck on the comparisions - piggy points for one of the sites if you are a member.

Gee I'm going slowly. Going to hoover stairs and get downstairs cloakroom done before I come back.

[STRIKE]Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required[/STRIKE] Did this yesterday whilst I deep cleaned the bath
[STRIKE]Collect all the dirty laundry[/STRIKE]Washing basket empty in one load-done TD on now
    Extra mission: Take your pick!
[STRIKE][STRIKE]Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms[/STRIKE][/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Fling all those empty bottles and tubes[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]replace any sponges, flannels, toiletries that need it[/STRIKE]

    Also
    [STRIKE]Playgroup 09H30-11H30[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Go to Tescos to look for stardrops[/STRIKE] No stardrops:(
Wipe kitchen cupboard out (spilled soap earlier tonight)
    15 minutes control journal
30 minutes BL business plan (thank you Denisefowler)
    Purge hotmail account
    Also
    Wiped tiles in kitchen
    Cleaned TD filter-again
    Wiped kitchen counter and sink
    Swept the lounge and kitchen

I also made a start on the bookshelf but I think Ill hold myself back for now, want to finish the bathroom so I can spend an hour or two on the cake. I think its enough right now that Im sitting at MY desk, with MY office in a box and am able to do admin type stuff somewhere other than my lap:j

I have to tell you, my dad always said I didnt know the first thing about keeping a house together. I always had him do my admin and I paid someone to clean when I went to work-but I thought I was capable of at least coping. In the last three weeks Ive been with you, my house SMELLS like something when you open the front door instead of just stale and must. I also discovered so much dust and grime that Im now sure he was right-to be fair when we moved into this house we were told the previous tenants never opened the windows or cleaned where they couldnt see. But Im pretty sure Ive only just got rid of a little more than half their dirt. And... we brought all the clutter with us from the studio!
So thank you flyladies, I know cant wait for a chance to bring my dad over for a visit:j

    Afternoon all

I've got one load of washing hanging outside because they promised sun. I do believe they were lying.

Cleaned the bathroom and toilet. Computer desk is in the hallway and that was done earlier in the week.

Watched Corrie and Who do you think you are and Jericho taped last night. All this sitting down makes you tired.....

    Dinner is cooking now.

I'll grab some lunch now and then join you toots, I might have to have soup....

Will edit rather than replying to myself, decided against lunch, DP must have gone back to bed, think I'll vacuum just to annoy him.
One day I might be more organised...........
