GnB/SSL/Pigpen and anyone else starting a new course - I am green with envy. Best of luck for all of you.
Had a letter from Northern Rock today to tell us the fixed rate ends in a few months, and the mortgage is going up by nearly £400 a month. Can't move it as no other fools will lend us that kind of money - especially as my salary has halved since we took it out and they mostly wont accept my self employed bits. Knew it was coming but still depressing. Hey ho, time to look for a 'real' job I suppose. Not a lot about at the moment though. The house is worth it and I don't regret it for a moment though.
Anyway I did another two hours on the living room/playroom and it is nearly done. Boys are not impressed with new rule of putting the first toy before we get the second one out - but I have been cleaning in there since Saturday. No more treats with wrappers either. I might even clean the carpet tomorrow -I think it used to be green.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
kaz.. my rabbits and cats are always in trouble for not behaving at the vets.. they drool everywhere and roll about so you can't do a thing with them!!!

Today's list is complete.
Thanks for everyone's hugs this afternoon. Toots and dusty you made me cry again but I felt a lot better after I had a good howl. I've decided that each time I lose someone there i'm going to plant another bulb in the garden. I love bulbs so it will be a nice reminder of everyone.
Hex - aren't mortgages scary. Saying that, your house is adorable and so worth paying a big mortgage on.
I'm going to have a read back of all the threads and then DD wants to make tiffin / chocolate slab / refridgerator cake / chocolate concrete whichever you call it.
Pigpen - medicine for goldfish?!?! xx0 -

You are obviously so popular at the hospice because you care about the whole person rather than just getting paid and doing 'a job' .. Anyone can do 'a job' but it takes someone special to make a difference!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. Douglas Adams0 -
Goodness I cant believe I was gone that long! And we didnt even go to the park. Got off the bus about three stops too late so I had to walk back quite a bit-but getting back was easy. I took DS out of the buggy when we turned off the high street onto ours so he could walk abit....and then the heavens opened:rolleyes:
He was happy enough to keep walking and even did abit of running to try and catch a "skirrel".And LOVED the rain-didn't want to come in.
So the shop...I phoned DF so he could get the yelling over with as I spent £40:eek:and didn't get that much at all-some sugar paste, some pink and black colour, a brush a smoother and a set of ribbon stensils.Oh but I did cake two cake boards and a box to carry it in. I guess its not too bad as its some tools and the colour does stretch. So thats the first equipment I've bought. My confidence dropped a bit as the woman who owns the shop seemed to have a bit of a "holier than thou" attitude, and didnt seem to think a person who has never used equipment was competition ready.
She didnt seem to get my idea about doing it for fun-not to win.
Anyway, Im sorry Ive not read all the posts yet but I did notice Mudbath needs a hug.
Im going to get a cup of tea and then get the washing away and wash the dishes. I did most of the kitchen yesterday (will wipe down the hob though).
Oh dear-I know its late but I think DS needs a nap-think Ill put him down first and Ill start an HHC at 17H15. Anyone in?0 -

Ohh polkadot I'm just in time!
Afternoon ladies - been supplying today. Was called at 7.30 this morning to supply in a local school all day (not the one I was in yesterday that's 30-45 minutes away so saved on petrol) and have been asked back again tomorrow. It was with a year 1/2 class which was nice as I had no marking to do apart from a couple of ticks on their English work. Bit worried about the English tomorrow though cos the lady I'm covering normally does the planning and she obviously hasn't been in - lady at the office said I may have to wing it! Oh dear! Anyway - I'm doing supply down in Southsea on Thursday morning, so I'll have done supply every day this week apart from Friday, which someone may end up booking me for (you never know). The good thing about knowing where I'm going in advance, is that I can I have a lie in tomorrow morning, as it only takes a maximum of 15 mins to get there, so I'll leave at 8am and then I can read through the plans for the day and have a cup of tea before the children come in. The school I was in today is a school that I did one of my PGCE placements in, and they remembered me which was nice.
Anyway, I've just jumped out of the shower, so I'd best get dressed so that I can get on with this HHC. I've had a headache all day, despite taking painkillers at lunchtime, and woke in the middle of the night sneezing, so think I may have a cold or some sort of allergy.
Will post at 5.45 with an update after the HHC.
