So, you do your bag lady imitation when you go to see your suppliers, rather than your customers?
Asos
Different outfits for every occasion!! I will trot around LFW in some crazy heels....and when I leave to get the tube , slip on some even more hideous (but very comfy boots) + if it's raining, the parka will appear from the depths of a very nice bag.....back to bag lady persona agin.0 -
You should try ferret walking. Oh, all right then, maybe not as it takes ages to get anywhere. We have a cuddly one, and another that is a 'one person ferret' that sits on the shoulder of its owner. We let kids and nice people stroke the cuddly one, but if we have over-boisterous teenagers we let them stroke the other one as well.
Do you dress your ferret in clothes?
I only ask as I was booking in my production today and they were rushing to finish an order of 1500 ferret hoodies, dresses and tees.
I know...I have to wait until the ferret dresses have been made and bagged before mine get started!
I didn't believe it until I saw it. He will also some of my waste cloth (the little bits left after cutting around curves) so the quality is good too (a very nice 'Made in Italy' stretch).
I think they are the ones sold here. http://www.ferretcouture.co.uk/clothing.asp0 -
Oh, can I just ask something?

Gosh, no, but I have bookmarked that site for my daughter's perusal. She might just be tempted, but she's practical, like me, so would expect the clothes to last a very short period of time, due to ferret wrestling matches etc. I can imagine these would go down a storm in the States, where ferrets are more popular than here.
Last month our ferret with attitude had to have a cyst on his chest removed and we needed something to keep him from scatching his stitches. A surgical wrist support made from fairly heavy duty material was used, together with his harness, and this stayed on for about ten days, but its condition at the end of that period is what led me to doubt the longevity of ferret T shirts!0 -

I just assumed that this was a joke site, but it seems too elaborate for that. Tell me it's not for real?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Sorry, it is 100% genuine, though a bit pricey for us. Ferrets are big business in the States, but I'm not sure if they will take off over here. In some ways, I hope not.
A ferret's main advantage over a dog is that it sleeps most of the time and, if you have two and a good sized run, they are sufficient company for each other when things are busy.
The down-side is that they are closely related to badgers, which are possibly one of the most determined animals on Earth. (I am currently trying, and failing, to badger proof a small garden for someone!) This means that individuals may not be suitable pets for kids. Our fierce ferret is really not too bad now, but we had him from a kit, and if a young child had been given him, I'm sure he'd be awful.
It is also hard to find ferret-friendly holiday accommodation, or anyone to ferret-sit.
If anyone is interested in finding out more, there is an admirable Ferret Rescue Centre in the very upmarket Cotswold village of Broadway, which is where we got our well behaved one. Dozens of others too on this link:

I like British weather.
It's pretty much always reasonable. We don't have days where you can't survive outside because it's too hot / cold. We don't have water shortages. We don't know what's going to happen tomorrow!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

It reminds me of the old joke, 'don't worry if you don't like the weather, if you wait 10 minutes it'll change again'.0 -
We are putting our money where our mouths are, and going to Cornwall (Isles of Scilly) today for a week....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
