    Hi All

I have the world's biggest bruise on my leg after last night's pole dancing experience! Hard work, but fun, but glad it was a freebie as it's normally £25 and hour:eek:

Been out and about this morning collecting Christmas messages.

No boss today which is great, he's off for 2 weeks:beer:

Why oh why do the council insist your rubbish is out on the pavement by 7.00 on collection day, when it is now 12.30 & no binman has come within coo-ee of the place??!
I have a confession - we had a ...............ready meal last night
The mitigating circumstances are as follows: it was crisy duck pancakes from the reduced section in Tescos - only £2, OH loves them & we had a proper OS homecooked sausage casserole for mains. There were only 6 pancakes in the pack, so just enough for a starter. Yum! It just shows how infrequently we eat these things - most (non OS) families eat like that day in & day out. And if MATH is feeding his brood shop bought lasagne tonight, I don't feel half as bad!
HM chilli tonight with a load of beef I cooked & froze last week. The beans have been soaking overnight, so just need boiling.

No wind here. It was raining when I was walking my youngest to school, but bright sunshine now. I've been busy this morning, probably not as busy as most of you, but busy for me.

General tidy up, two loads in the washing machine, and a gammon in the slow cooker for tea. DS2 home at 2.00pm and I have promised him that we would make banana bread, so with baking, homeworks and providing taxi service for the two older ones, looks like I'm going to have a busy afternoon too. At least Mr P should be home around 6pm to take over and let me escape to work for a bit of peace and quiet. :)

Because every so often, just when you have got used to the fact that they don't come till late afternoon, they reverse the round just to confuse you - and to see how many people they can see leaping out into the road in their dressing gowns trying to get the bin out as they hear the rubbish lorry come round the corner.

Afternoon everyone.Today i woke up and decided i was sick of all this Old Style, not the members but old styling itself,im sick of being cold, worn out and not sure if im hungry or not,i just dont fancy anything i have in the house to eat and i just couldnt face another store cupboard challenge  .I dont think i can keep up with everything i need to do or plan to do.I feel like a slave in the kitchen and now i know why people have dishwashers :rotfl:It doesnt matter how much clothing i put on or how much housework i do to keep warm im still cold.Ive put on weight  ,must be all that bread from the morphy richards :rolleyes:Drying clothes on the airer is just no good,it takes days and too much hassle turning them around to get the other side dry.I think ive bitten off more than i can chew and should have taken sqeakys advice at doing small changes at a time :o

so today heating on,clothes in the drier, done no housework what so ever and lunch was baught from a cafe and tonight tea is a take away and i feel relaxed, and every penny spent today is worth it to put a smile on my miserable face. :j :j :j

Old style doesn't have to be the be all and end all. Take from it what you want and play the rest as you choose. I'm glad you have a smile on your face now. :)

    Afternoon all

MATH - I know what you mean about all those school payments - gets ridiculous....jeans for genes day - £1 each child for each denim items worn, children in need day - £1 for own clothes, £1 for line dancing at lunch time which both of my 2 want to do and cakes and sweets on sale at break (could parents please donate cakes and sweets to sell) Tag day last week, dontation of a raffle prize which had to be either a bottle or a box of chocs....Swimming at £2.50 a week each, weekly raffle for film posters that are taken from the advertising hording in the hall - £1 each. I sound like a right miser sometimes when I say - no cakes, no raffle, no this no that, no tuck shop.....but it has to end somewhere!

Working today - both little ones are asleep currently - yay!! Dinner tonight will be either quiche with bacon and tomato or HM pizza depending on what DD's decide - will be HM wedgies and veg with either.

Day off tomorrow - plan to get the sewing machine out to alter a few things, need to wrap a few more pressies too.

Hope you've all had a wonderful day.

Don't feel bad we all have those days and don't try and do it all all of the time. I compromise and do what I can when I can.

On Friday nights we have shop-bought curry (usually BOGOF) and sometimes again in the week we will have shop-bought if I am really busy or the kidz are in and out a lot the rest of the time I cook from scratch.

I use my TD on eco7 cos I just have too much washing to air indoors but I do dry sheets, duvets, tablecothes/napkins on the airer cos you get a crisper finish when they are ironed.

My DW goes on twice a day but I do hand wash 3 lunch boxes/flasks/pots n bits so it nolonger goes on three times a day.

I make bread most of the time but if I can't manage it Hovis won't kill em!

I walk almost all my journeys but when I go to Tesco I take the car and if it is lashing down I take it to school too.

My heating comes on for an hour every morning for getting up. It is then off while I do heat generating stuff like cleaning, vaccing, ironing but comes back on at 11.00 when I move to less active jobs like paid2click, surveys, stoozing and MSEing on the computer. Don't be cold it makes you misserable (not that I need much excuse):D

Chart the changes you have made and give yourself a pat on the back ((HUG))

    Hi All,

Busy day baking for me. DH bought home masses of bananas he got cheap from the market yseterday so I have been doing banana loaf and cakes for the freezer. All in the oven as new BM only went and broke the 2nd time I used it  Its going back.

3 loads of laundry done today, when I say done I mean washed cause in this weather it sure aint dry. We have no TD and only warm air central heating so no radiators to dry things on. Its getting right on my nerves and the sooner we move to a place with rads the better. Dont care if its dearer.

WHAT!!! Please tell me you dont iron your sheets! OMG, I've been ironing for an hour and that sonly the stuff since the W/E. If I did sheets I'd be there all b****y day. You really are a saint math.

Dinner for sprogs tonight is spag bol, DH will have his normal wednesday steak and I will have HM soup.

DH is getting right on my nerves at the mo, he is all for me saving money but wont alter his routine one bit. Still wants the same old dinner,he will try my stuff and likes it but wants the old stuff again the next day. Creature of (stupid) habit. I've just decided that I willcook whatever I want from now on and he can like it or lump it. I'm b******d if I am going to continue to cook 3 different meals every night. He can make his own if he protests too much :D

Feel better now thats off my back

Will be back later with recipes for the fudge making thread- YUM.

LOL I iron dusters too:o I find if I iron every day (usually to the Jeremy Vine show) then it doesn't get too much. Once you are used to pressed bedlinen you can't go back to washed n folded so be warned don't do it as a one off cos you'll have to do it forever.
