Dear Broken hearted,
I am really sorry that I offended you with my plans to go bankrupt, maybe you feel that I am selfish and stupid, and you are entitled to your opinion....
I am a 29 years old with a university degree. I worked from the age of 17 until last year when I found out I was pregnant. I did not plan my baby but I am really greatful for it. My children are my sunshine and I am a good mum.I did not plan to be a single mum either, but I just been exchanged for a newer model with more mileage left in it and no spare tyres(children).I spent my maternity grant @31 weeks and that time I had temporary job with a promise (not written) that after birth they will take me back. well they didn't. From 33 weeks of pregnancy til birth I was really sick and I had to stay in bed most of the time. My mum came over from Europe to help me.with no income and lots of debt to pay(mind you around 60% of it is my ex partners only in my name, because I believed in fairytales, anyway that is an other story) I could not pay the cards, than the loans. Never in my life would I thought that the bank would freeze my account without notice and with only 2 payments missed 1 of each of the 2 loan payments. Anyway....
To cut the long story short I just would like to tell you that I feel that the quoted post written by you is tasteless as I feel that (true its only half a family)my little family is a REAL family. My children never did or never will suffer because of my decisions.I been advised to get the bankruptcy petition rolling and with the help of all the lovely people on this forum I feel that I have a really great chance to start afresh. I see that you are not bankrupt as you have a DMP in order to pay back your debt, but as I see you visiting the bankruptcy side of the forum, I feel that you are not sure you made the right choice. Please don't take your frustration out on me(us-newbies) I am only here for advice and some support. by the way I could not do DMP even if I wanted to because child benefit isn't count as an income and therefore I do not have enough money to have one.
I wish you all the luck with your life and with your DMP, I hope everything will turn out to be ok for you and I hope that you will never have to experience in the future , that people like yourself but in a completely different situation, cast a stone on you.
Have a really nice day,

You do not have to justify yourself to anyone. That is not what the BR board is all about.
Broken H has the blinkered opinion that everyone should be like her and pay a DMP. We would if we could, but life is not that simple.
You carry on being a great Mum to your family and do what is best. Thats what we all do, rightly or wrongly, but it is of no-ones business either way.
And a quick Edit PS - there is no way I could have put what you said without a few expletives in there.......0 -
Not blinkered view at all, just know that it is perfectly possible to manage a DMP in her situation. However if she hasn't provided anything for herself she has nothing to lose so good luck to her.
On a side note she has a full family not a half family, I was simply pointing out that there are more of us living on the same amount and still coping. It was the baby milk thing that got my back up not the BR.Barclaycard 3800

You can only be the judge of "what is best for you" and therefore GO FOR IT!!! Cccs have given you the best advice!
It is always considered not to do it lightly BUT if your debts are overwhelming you and you have no other way YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING FOR YOU!!! You are taking the right action rather than letting things get any worse!!!
You can then start to rebuild your life!!!

Dear Single
What u need to remember is u did not set out 2 run all this debt up
I have never lied on any form for credit yet they see how much I owe and still say OK With the worst being my bank offering me a 12k topup while I was on the dole and the insurance was making the payments
You owe the bank 1k uve got a problem
owe the bank 21k theyve got a problem
After reading a lot of these posts I'll prob go down the line of DMP but only because it fits my life at the moment but its all about whats right for u
And BROKEN HEARTED Do u think the directors of ZOOM could sort out a DMP for the 300 million they ran up0
