Lovely fire, haven't sold one in a few years, but they go on and on.
You may be able to buy a new one if you know the model number of the fire and approximate age of it. If not, you could have a go at stove rope glue, available in a lot of places. It may just be enough to keep them together. If they have split, but are staying in place, then there isn't really a need to do anything. They are only really there to make the back of the fire look better.
If you give me the model no and year of manufacture ( these are on the data plate, which slides out from the bottom of the burner. you will need to take the fascia off to get to it ) I will have a look and see if the part is still available and where to buy from.0 -

Ok.
It was manufactured in 2007, was made in week 32 and was the 415th one made that run in the Chinese plant. and is a model 940 convector fire.
Part is only available as a complete ceramic set including side walls and coal set.
Part no is 5121805 for the complete set and the following link will give you the price.

Hope that helps.
I would have a go at gluing it together as I have stated above. I have in the past on my display models in the showroom actually pinned 2 pieces of ceramic brick backs together with a clothes pin, so they didn't move. The ceramic back wall being cracked, will not interfere with the workings of the fire, just doesn't look right.0 -
Oh my days, I know this was an old thread originally but you can't just use any old coals on gas fires - each fire model has a specific coal layout in the manufacturer's instructions that must be adhered to, and the coals must be for that specific fire. If not you risk suffocating the burner and giving yourself a healthy dose of carbon monoxide and plenty of soot. Fires with broken coals beds are classified as AT RISK. They're all pretty expensive unfortunately. Please get your gas fires serviced regularly!0

The latest poster was on about his ceramic back on his fire, which is , in his case purely a cosmetic piece to make the inside look nicer, it has no effect on the workings of the fire.
I should know, I have sold that fire for over 15 years ! lol0 -
A recently-widowed octagenarian neighbour needs her fire serviced soon; and she wants spare coals ready to fit at same time.
GC 32-032-46 Valor 640 VISAGE
But the best price I've found, for a complete coal-set, is around £150.
With a £30-£40 service bill, this could almost buy a whole new fire!
I have tried the web-link for a Valor 639 coal-set; as offered at the 2011 start of this thread; but that website is now defunct.
Can someone please offer a pointer to a sensibly-priced source?
I would love to give our bereaved friend some brighter news; when I go round to re-fit her sticking back door.0 -
The fire she has is over 12 years old, so any parts needed will be hard to get hold of. It has been succeeded by 3 other models since then.
You can get the coal set from the link below, they have them in stock. They are not cheap to manufacture and if it is a discontinued product, even more so, as the manufacturers cannot get a good price on a small amount. They normally buy coal sets in the 1000's at a time, but that is for current fires
You are not really going to be able to get a set cheap anywhere, i have just checked ebay and none are listed for that fire.
She maybe better buying another fire as at that age things do start to go wrong and the costs do then mount.

This is the company I use for any spares required, good service and best prices.
You CANNOT fit any other brand of coals to the fire, you will end up with poisonous fumes coming into the room. They are designed to fit in a certain way and cannot be changed from this. You also cannot now buy just loose coals, you have to buy the whole set.0 -
Hi there, I really hope somebody can help.
We have a Eurotech Winternights S/N WN13561 and we are looking for a replacement bed and coals and I cannot find any info anywhere.
Thank you in advance.0
