Well folks, I'm still at home as today is THE day I find out if I am to be made redundant. Feel a bit sick so I'm trying to distract myself with this forum. My appointment at work is 12.15 so that is when I find out. I'll then have to drive back home as we are only allowed in for our appointment slot today (at least it means people won't be there to stare as you go into the room then stare as you come out - just the 2 admin staff). My other colleagues & my manager are saying I have nothing to worry about but they don't actually 'know' the answer & I don't want to get my hopes up as then I've farther to fall if it is me.

Anyway chin up I know there are others on here that are worse off than me at the moment & I'm still thinking of you guys

Good luck I really hope its good news for you!! My OH should find out today too, I feel phisically sick with nerves and have prepared myself for the worst after the hellish week I have had

Not long now as we aren't allowed to arrive too early for our slot as then we'd overlap the previous person. Thanks for all your kind words & thoughts & I'll be back on later to let you all know the outcome - have tissues & chocolate because either way I think I'll need them both!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your good wishes. I couldn't have gotten through these last few days without your support and advice (esp Bella xxx - OMG 12!!!! Aparently its Kurt Cobain's guitar & signature - ouch! I'll take a photo of hubby's tat, I designed it myself, its a baby devil holding 6 balloons, 4 blue 2 pink with the kids' names in them)

As you can see I'm back! I'm not the one from my office that has been made redundant :j - pending appeal from the one who has, my job is safe for now! *big sigh of relief* :j

Had the redundancy interview, it was awful - manager had to read parts of the letter he had given us all earlier this week & then went over my criteria score before he told me that he was happy to say that I did not have the lowest score so I was not going to be made redundant. I managed to make it to half way through the letter before tears filled up my eyes & spilled over. I did have a clean tissue in my handbag though just in case & my manager knows I 'sensitive' & stuff like this I just end up in pieces. I did give him a big hug though after it was over as it can't be nice for him having to go through this with everyone.

Thanks for all the support from here, it has helped me feel I'm not alone & I'm so relieved right now. As a treat, BF just nipped to Morrisons & came back with a loaf of Tiger bread, some pate & some ice cream for afters!


Laura - I hope your OH lets you know how he has gotten on soon *hugs*
