We interrupt this thread to announce that Linda just found a £1 coin in the dryer.
The coin, which is gold in colour and estimated to be circa 1998 was stashed in her purse, a number of smaller value coins were also recovered and deposited into the household penny jar.
The husband of the accused lay claim to the £1 coin and protested loudly but to no avail.
He is now threatening to withhold all bedroom privileges until the coin has been returned to it's rightful owner.
We will bring you further updates as the story unfolds
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

Hey up! (That's Northern speak ya know!)Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
I would keep the £1 and forfeit the bedroom privileges:D
I need your help my friends......
A lovely friend of ours sadly died last night he had no bank account, no insurance and only 1 family member who is in his 80's and also has no money.
Between my OH and another 2 sets of neighbours he has been cared for as he was ill. On going through his belongings a provident loan of £2000 is still owing.
He did have alot of belongings of some value TV, Games consoles ect but he left instructions as to who these things should be left to and they have already been given out in fear of a break in should the local "gangs" get wind that the house is empty.
I need to know how is the funeral sorted out for someone without insurance/money and also what to do with the provident loan. Everyone is looking to me for help as for some reason they think I know about these type of things. I am not sure where to look on the boards for help either. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
