  • Another Manchester inhabitant here.... I grew up in Glossop moved to St Helens for a couple of years and now i'm living in Rusholme. I'm dying to go and wander around the Christmas market, though i'll just have to be content with looking I think.

I have FINALLY bought and wrapped all of my presents. My last one arrived from amazon today and has been duly wrapped and stored away.

Here's a question for all of you with children where do you hide the presents to stop the kids from finding them? my parents used to put them in the attic causing a lot of stress on christmas eve when they got them all down whilst trying not to wake me and my sister up.

Sorry I dont know how to quote more than one person at a time lol.

I really dont want to go 2 weeks over, my dd2 was 9 days and that was bad enough. Also dont want inducing, im not sure if I can still go to the birth centre for that and our maternity services got cut back this year so I might have to go to Halifax (from Huddersfield) Dont have another midwife appointment until next weds, although she asked me to pop in this morning if nothing had happened but I fell asleep after dropping the kids at breakfast club and missed the clinic  think she was going to offer me a sweep. Oh well, least it gives me chance to recover fully before labour and sleepless nights :D

Have to buy mug painting kits this week at some point, think I mentioned before my sister said she will personalise them for my kids xmas eve hampers, well she has a very artistic friend and shes going to get him to put cartoon images of the kids on them.....theres a word for that but I cant say or spell it.......charactertures ?? :rotfl:something like that!!

itsybitsygoth, I was considering the attic this year too but decided against it for the same reason you mentioned. I have a cupboard under the stairs which needs clearing out and im thinking of putting a lock on it, failing that it will all be in my bedroom again, on top of and in my wardrobe. If I run out of room ill use my suitcases under the bed....padlocked of course just in case :)

    Xmas Saver!
My presents are hidden all over the place, at the mo there in the shed, the attic, the wardrobe, under the bed......... Try to get them all in one place, usually corner of bedroom, going down the side of the bed.

My mum is the worst, if you put a present under the tree for her, and she doesnt know what the present is, she unwraps them then reseals them........
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

I forgot them in January lol
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together
  • Morning All

Welcome to all newbies, Hope your feeling better today Sugarjen, and put your feet up while your waiting for your new arrival. And a Big Wave to all the Manchester Girls.

Still not found the torch from yesterday ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGH!!! (got a feeling I won't find it in time either which will mean having to unwrap the other hamper), managed to get ontop of a few things yesterday and this morning, have gone through my planner and updated it, just need to catch up with a bit of printing. Cleared some of the mountains of washing from around the house.

    Need to do today:

    1. Clear the rest of the Washing Mountains
    2. Clear Kitchen Cupboards out (As I've been stuffing stuff in them and not bothering where they go LOL)
    3. Sort out one present box ready to take on Saturday
    4. Ask for class lists so kids can do Christmas cards
    5. Print photos for Photo Cards
    6. Print Photo's for Calanders
    7. Make 3 London Underground Fact jars
    8. Help kids put another Layer on the Homer Pinata
    9. Do the Washing that is accumulating infront of the washing machine

Think that should keep me busy for today, I need to get back ontop of things before the 1st of December, Feeling a little less stressed today after going through the planner but still not long now 10 days til December 1st ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!! Where has all the time gone.

Anyway better stop waffeling and get on with some jobs

Catch up with you all in a bit

    Take care

Itsybitsygoth: My mum and dad have always hidden our pressents at my Grans who lives round the corner. They still do it now even though its only my brother living at home cos me and my sis go routing when we go round.

My dad goes and picks the pressies up around tea time then keeps them in the boot of the car till its time to bring them into the house.

I am running out of christmas things to do!!!! I have bought all my pressents but dont want to wrap them till december cos I love wrapping with a christmas film on. on top of all the house work, just need to keep on top of the washing and ironing. There is nothing I have to make or do. Help I am too organised!!!!!!!!
