The newspaper adverts seeking participants for this programme specify you must let them do whatever they want to your house, and be willing to price very competitively. The couple of episodes I have seen have been total failures. But then open house in this country usually means desparate.

It strikes me that many of the TV property programs that were made in their gazillions because they were cheap and perceived to be 'popular', are actually so out of date and out of touch with the recent property crash that they now rank as comedy shows.

    Either that or horror stories.

They could even do an episode of The Twilight Zone......

We have control of your TV, do not alter your settings etc etc:eek:

Here in Suburbia we have a house. An ordinary house, but 6 months ago it was worth £250,000 and now it's worth £180,000. Where has the £70,000 gone, and why did it simply disappear? :search::confused: Doo de doo de doo de doo de.

I wouldn't go to an open house viewing anyway, as I don't want to be herded around with a dozen other viewers. I think if a seller can't be bothered to conduct individual viewings they can't be that bothered about selling.

The only good idea I would take from that show is the information packs, but they are an extra expense on top of HIPs so I doubt many people would bother if the Beeb weren't paying.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

This is the second series, the last one was actually quite good (was nearly 2 years ago now). Alot of people got more than the asking price and sometimes bidding wars did happen meaning they made alot of money.

This one though hasnt been as good, as no one wants to buy now!!

I saw the original series too and agree that it was quite good. This new series says something about prices in May 2008 so that would be when it was filmed - no wonder they're not having any bids this series!

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

That's the one. General consensus from the viewers was that the rooms were quite small. Nice views though!
