"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

  • At the SS till in Eastbourne yesterday it was giving me two different till spits - the TD/L'oreal/Olay/Sanctuary one valid til 9/9 and a No7/R+M one valid til 14/9

so I should use the first one with the 200 point TD voucher from the mag, and the second with 250 points on No7 that came in the No7 GWP I got yesterday (this is valid 13/8 to 9/9).... I think I'm getting the hang of this! Especially as I have 2 TS vouchers still in hand....

    Oh dear

    Just a quick question......
On page 1 it says that you cannot collect points when paying with points, so how are you all managing to use the 750 points when purchasing the Clinique/Lancome offers with points?

You can't use the 750 pts voucher if paying with points.
  • hi all!

It has been 3 long days without any bootsing. I am itching to get back out there.
Few questions though before I depart!
    - Mobile phone top ups. I have just bought a pay as you go for my work and want to top up. I havent registered anything apart from the SIM (orange network btw) I've no had PAYG for about 6 years - do you still get a voucher from the till and scratch off the panel to get a code? then phone from your phone to activate? or have things moved on? (want to get 4 x£5 vouchers for some spits/pinkies)
-do any Glasgow bootsers know if there are any stores without pinkies yet?
I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever :(
But 2011 so far has been a lot of fun! :j

    hi there,
you need to pick up a top up card, which you then hand to the cashier at the till, who in turn will top up your phone.
you can pick up the top up cards at many stores. the card will need to be linked to your mobile, which is done in just a phone call (before or after topping the card up).
    hope this helps:p

Basically, how you use the voucher is to go to a different SA, preferably in a different section of the store or even a different store. You are right, just about every voucher put out by Boots would be useless if it couldn't be combined with another offer, as they always seem to put them out for things that are already on sale! Which means they are either pulling a "bait and switch" by putting out coupons and then putting those same items on offer so that you can't use them, or it means they intend shoppers to use both together so that they get some really loyal shoppers who love the great deals. I tend to think it's a little of both answers, lol.

However, the only answer that really matters is that the TS coupons go through without a beep. Most SAs will let you have anything if the voucher doesn't beep (and people on this board have been told by customer service that the SAs are *supposed* to give you any deal if the voucher doesn't beep!). However, a few SAs don't know that policy or just don't agree with it, so they will refuse you. So you try again with someone else. ;)

Thanks will remmeber that. What put me off was she said that they had had a memo form Boots HQ telling them not to accept them any more!!! got scared then!

    right bit more detail.
it was the time delay glitch - the 200 ad card pts voucher.
she was 'buying' a TD product, using her skincare spit & handing in the 200 ad card points voucher out of the HB magazine.
paying nothing for the product & receiving 200 points.
this in itself is fine, but the rules regarding the HB magazine is that it is £1 to non ad card-holders OR free to ad-card holders.
wheres the problem i hear you ask?
T&C's state that it is one free copy of HB magazine to ad card holders.
If the certain customer wanted more copies, she should have paid £1.00 for each subsequent copy.
your ad card keeps a record of whether or not you have had HB magazine & used vouchers.
hope that all makes sense. dont want to make you worry, just letting you all know.
Just noticed this on the old thread.

ladyluck - thanks for posting this. I'm amazed that your colleagues could even think of hanging a case on this.

I can see the Prosecution's case now:-

"Miss X took her magazine to the till and we scanned it and told her it would cost nothing. She took another magazine to the till and we again told her it would cost nothing. A month later, we changed our minds and decided she owed us money."

    Case dismissed!
