Mrsbluebear i'm sure pages back someone asked if it was possible to buy something on points and get the gwp and i think the answer was yes. It might be worth emailing boots and asking. Can't see why they can't do it as they are getting the money off your card for it!!!

They can do it! A friend of mine has got the gwp on both Clarins and Lancome when paying with points.
She did have to have a word with the store manager to get it allowed though. The reason given why they don't like doing it is that their stock is sent out automatically ... must be something to do with the tills sending sales back to Clarin/Lancome etc, this is how the stocks are replenished. When points are used to buy goods and get the gwp, then the gwp is not registered as being 'sold' IYSWIM, therefore they won't be replaced on the order for that store.
So a nice word with the store manager might help! :D

I went to Birmingham stores today and got a serum and a glosser, then went back to do it again and they had all gone and there was about 7 left, that was in the space of about 5 minutes, so very annoying!!!! I also maybe saw a fellow bootsers better halve in the queue infront of me, and in his basket he had the 6.99 serum but nothing else, so i dont think he completely understood the gitch!? The bull ring store was rubbish IMHO i didnt find clearance and i still have 3 pinkys to use and i dont know what on!!! Dont really want to spend much to get them.

On another note does anyone know what the boots in BATH is like i am going there for the weekend, any help would be great thanks.:j

I went there last week - I found two stores. A big one, nothing very exciting and did not have what I wanted, also no clearance etc. Smaller store had some interesting photo things very reduced (eg make postcards from photos - 36p or something like it), no7 was a single stand, very few products but GWP out and no SAs hovering.

Blodwin? Is it you? OY? Sparrow flies at midnight and all that jazz?!?!

*does another happy dance of joy*

Well I really liked it, sweetie (it was the last bottle at my teeny store sadly, or I'd have grabbed one if you had wanted it). :(

Yup, tis me :A Just another to test. I feel a sudden urge to splash my points on some Christmas presents!

I had one in mind for 'him' - this http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=49659&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051

Went to get it from my local store last weekend, and it's £99.99 instore - £20 more than online  I know online prices regularly differ, but £20 seems a helluva difference! I didn't get it price checked as there was a huge queue, and I also assumed I'd got the online price wrong! I have enough points to cover it, just resent paying £20 more just because I need to use points (and the points are money, as we often spend more to accumulate the points)

    (rant over)

I'm also still umming and ahhing over lancombe, clinique and EA GWP's - I can't usually afford premium beauty brands so haven't used either before - will all 3 still be on on Saturday? Which is best to go for? I need retail therapy this week so am going to spend some points on me for a change :j

Does anyone have a heads-up on Exeter high street Boots? My first time in that one this weekend. Wonderful OH :A is taking the kids off and leaving me in there for as long as I want :T
