The SA was so looooovely. She asked me if I wanted to use vouchers on my PP sun protection hair spray and P&P sun protection lip and eye screen and when I said but then I won't get the little bag and it's only that I'm really after (true btw-I think the No 7 gwp are adorable this time), she let me have it anyway as I 'technically spent' £20. So £1.50 for 4 items and the GWP!

Hi all,

Had a quick dash in boots in doncaster today, only did a few transactions BUT just wanted to ask everyone's opinion on this - I went to the lancome counter to get some eyeshadow (of course) Got three I liked and was told I qualify for the current GWP and this pink bag (it was lush!!) got it all scanned and then SA says that'll be £36, I said I'll pay with my points - she told me NO!!! :eek: she said I could only redeem points on one item, therefore i wouldn't qualify for either gifts, even if I paid for one item with points and the other two with cash, she said if I wanted the gifts I would HAVE to pay by cash - I was so disappointed and upset - I was buying to eyeshadow and wanted the GWP as a present to myself for my anniversary

Is this a new thing? I have bought lancome before with points Then I went to the No7 till to get some nail varnish, and got a till survey - would it be worth mentioning the lancome incident on the survey? It really did ruin my day....ppffftt!

I am really loving Mr Boots at the mo .....i am gonna go to the boots on my way home in the hope they have loads of No17 eye shadows for 10p left as these were still full price in town. They also had loads of aftershave so hoping they might have put perfume out as in town the SA said she had put two bottles of ????(for the life of me i can't remember what she said arrghh) back for £1.50 each!!! went and looked but couldn't find owt lol

Need to have a look at page 1 to get some ideas of how to use my 9 facial spits and 9 pinkies .... this really does seem never ending lol

it's always worth a moan, the whole point of saving the points is to redeem them
i did the 3 x 12 quid eyeshadows to get both free gifts and i paid with points no problem x

i paid for the lancome products with cash and got gwp ... but i had asked the SA if i could use my points to get the products and the gwp and she said it was ok to do that ...
you should complain ...

Mrsbluebear i'm sure pages back someone asked if it was possible to buy something on points and get the gwp and i think the answer was yes. It might be worth emailing boots and asking. Can't see why they can't do it as they are getting the money off your card for it!!!
