Actually I am not worked up about it. But I am fascinated by the amount of support and encouragement you are all giving to the banks and card companies who levy these charges.

Personally I think the banks and credit card companies make far too much profit.
For someone with an MBA you seem to have little grasp of business.

Meaning youd have to boycott everyone?

  • Well, thank you for your comments. You have given me a great deal of amusement and make so many assumptions it comes as little surprise that some of you seem to be in debt.

As to me being a whinger? Anyone who knows me would fall about laughing at this suggestion. In fact I am rather embarrassed by the number of times people tell me I am an inspiration to them.

I think you all take life too seriously. After all, it's only money!

  • right then, i will offering a few pence off next time i pay with cash-

they are saving money, so we should too!

another thing, surely there's enough retail markup on products to cover any card processing fee, to not charge the customers this on top??
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)

That is a little below the belt; for some getting into debt is through no fault of their own. Am sure doing an MBA you would understand that and not class everyone on MSE in the category.

You certainly don't inspire me with your comments like that.

Pleasure. FWIW I think you're a bit of a fantasist.

I am sorry you seem to have trouble understanding English. I said SOME of you and that is based on information provided in the thread.

If it does not apply to you, why assume it does?

I am off to engage in some intelligent conversation on another forum.

Oh well i think some (or is that ONE) of the people in this thread have made a mistake in posting a pile of carp, they are now possibly too embarrassed (of course they will deny this) to admit they where wrong and thank people for the true explanation of the charge Boots pay for us to use our CC's. Either that or they are just thick as... what was that MBA in? cause it sure wasn't economics....

Billtrac - our Lidl takes card too

oh and just for the record I'm another not in debt, I do however love this forum for helping me stay that way :)
