Still no techxpert input, how much system memory do you have on your computer.

I would suggest posting your problem to either the Firefox forums
    or here
Registration is free, just scroll down to "Software and Services" section and open a new thread there. lots of techy people there who use FF and very helpful.
Post you initial problem, but include details of your
    Operating System
    Amount of RAM
    Firefox version
    Any extensions / addons installed.
Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

I'm going to see how it runs with the older version of Firefox for now and shamelessly bump my thread to see if anyone can suggest what to do about the crash dump issue.

According to the Mozilla website Avast & Zonealarm as well as Java can cause these problems

    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+is+already+running+but+is+not+responding
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+hangs#Hang_at_exit

Roughly translated it means that FF3 is a crap piece of software

I have the same problem and notice that it also !!!!!!s up IE access to the internet & I suspect it's also causing Media Center to lock when displaying live TV

the only solution seems to be restarting the computer

Interesting, I have only started trying out FF and am using the portable version which is still FF2 and works well. I shall leave ver 3 alone for a while.
