    Yebbut you're comparing one slow AV solution to a slightly slower one. Uninstall it and stick NOD32 trial on then see.

    For what? Hand on heart, I've had NOD32 come up half a dozen times and only really for websites trying to install stuff on my computer - something that could be easily prevented by running the Noscript extension on firefox.

    I've avast on both my PCs - one old dell running win98, and a more recent one running XP. I can tell you that avast doesn't slow either of my systems one little bit. Only problem lately with avast is a frequent number of false positives. But this shouldn't put anyone off
