Wasnt going to bother posting but am so grumpy & bad tempered I need to vent :

woke up at 8 looking forward to an hour of reading before getting up, DD came in for a cuddle & I noticed that her hair seemed not quite right ... oh yes, a mere 2 days back at school & poor thing had been infested  leapt out of bed & jammed hat on her head. stripped all bedding & threw in washing machine - at 60 I'm afraid - run to car & head off to nearest chemical treatment supplier.

£6.96 later my planned NSD is ruined  & I've had to wash all the bedding twice in 24 hours , not very MSE .

Spent about an hour & half treating poor DD & myself & cursing irresponsible parent who sent their child back to school with infestation & cost me money.

DD so mortified she refused to leave the house for the rest of the day so no trip to the allotment to collect free food :( .

Still feeling itchy now although wasnt infested & have washed hair 3 times.

Xbf coming back in 3 weeks apparently to get job so he can buy car for place abroad  The guy cant hold down a job for more than 3 weeks which was No 1 reason for dumping him ; he was an MSE though, would wake up at his house 10 miles away & drive over to mine for breakfast, then still be there 2 days later  . He actually text me his cc details so I could book flight for him & although i was tempted to just buy myself something nice with it I ended up pretending my pc was broken just so he couldnt get back, is that wrong :o .

Anyway, the point is althogh I may be all nice & brown... I am also a stone  heavier than when i last saw him & girls, you all know that's just wrong & cannot be allowed to happen. And what's more there are hunky men coming to work on my kitchen in 2 weeks time so simply cannot have an xbf hanging around ;) .

Dammit, I am so miffed today, stupid lloyds account wont let me log on & will send me new ID in 3 days time, 3 days ? what's wrong with email !!!!!!.

Stupid tax credits not gone into co op account so cant pay anything off cc so last purchase gonna cost interest.

Grrrrr, 10 minutes to drink more Baileys as my food & drink rationing starts tomorrow. Ratiions, rations, rations, it's like the dark ages

hopefully my good cheer wil return tomorrow & yes I am on, so what

    Evening everyone,

first of all thanks to Will for popping in, details not necessary, but much appreciated ;) .

Thanks for the hugs purpletea, I needed those earlier as have been feeling very sad & emotional today rather than raging with fury like yesterday, damn hormones  :( :j   :( :j  I'm so  perhaps I should just .

Well as I woke up at 5 this morning feeling very queasy after past few days of bailey guzzling ( last time I'm doing a drink survey for a while  ) & decided to go through finances again to try & trim my budget again.

I've been to the cccs website & checked through their suggestions & found the first problem. They reckon I should be spending £202 a month on food, cleaning stuff & toiletries; somehow I've mangaged to 'misinterpret' that as £50 a week on food & cleaning stuff. Calculated weekly it actually works out at £46.60 a week, a difference of about £200 over a year.

Although I havent (yet) stuck to it, my budget for clothes is £40 a month, theirs is £30. That's another £120 a year discrepancy.

Hmmm, I think you can see the problem : CCCS suggests & Lula ignores :o

I've got to keep the groceries/cleaning/toiletries shopping on budget or I'm going to get myself into trouble.

My 'private job' got cancelled again this week so I wont get paid for last week until next week now  . I wouldnt mind but they are loaded ; have had 2 holidays to cornwall & 1 to spain since May & spent 2 weeks in the carribean last christmas, guess when you're that well off you dont think that some people might actually need the £20 you owe them .

Hey ho, at least I have a home & a job & things could be a lot worse.

A bubbly bath with a book & then bed for me now, hopefully more cheerful tomorrow

    G'nite

    Hello,

Yet another rubbish day weather-wise, getting rather fed up with it  .

Been buzzing about today, first I had to go to the boot menders as the cobbler blokey wasnt there when I took boots in for repair last week & he rang me to say he wasnt sure i'd like the colour of the new soles, or the price - £20 . Well, I dont much like the price but I love those boots so much :heartpuls & we've had a lot of fun together - Killers @ Wembley last year :heartpuls  :heartpuls - it's gotta be done :p

It's such a posh town there that I thought I'd pop into charity shops for a looksie & guess what ? there was a gorgeous 100% cashmere cardigan in my size for a mere £10 :D . Yeh, it's been washed & is now hanging in my airing cupboard :o shame I didnt notice the 'dry clean only' label til after I'd washed it but it seems fine ;) .

Then I went to suss out some fridges & freezers & spent a very entertaining half hour at a local electrical shop where I wowed the blokies with my money saving research & tried to get as many discounts & freebies like free delivery & disposal of old one thrown in. I've got one on 'standby' but unfortunately Argos are still doing a better deal & can go through Quidco...but old one still alive just so plenty of time for more research yet.

Forgot to say yesterday that I switched my gas & elec supply yesterday to southern Electric - mainly due to rather gorgeous sales guy I have to admit but his price was right & I'd already sussed out they were the cheapest, should really have switched through a site but... when they come knocking on your door & do all the work & form filling it's hard to resist :o .

Had to do a quick top up shop today; washing powder, milk, bread, chocolate & eggs -£8.56 so well over this weeks budget but it was a huge box of washing powder so should last a month. I'm going to try to now spend £8 less next week to make up for it - gulp !!

Shouldnt have to spend any money tomorrow & dont need to go anywhere which is good as petrol getting low & DD1 has asked me to take her & friend to airport on saturday...for 7 am check in

    Bye for now

  • I'm off to bed now but just thought i'd quickly type something so you didn't think you were takin to yourself lol
Glad you're feeling better today! The weather is totally naff isn't it. I've been off work for a week and its not been nice for even 1 day. back in on thursday and I'll put money on it that it'll be nice (well.... I would put money on it if I had some to spare! lol)

    Morning,

trying hard to be positive today ;) Forgot to say that I also topped up my mobile yesterday so that was another £10 :( .

I've been working on the figures - again - & the only thing I think I cut down on now is the Virgin deal I'm on, it's currently about £45 for broadband, basic tv package & phone with free landline calls. I'm wondering whether to abolish the cable tv part as the new tv I bought already has freeview built in.

I'm sinking into one of those moods where I know what needs to be done but I just cant face speaking to people, or reading tv instruction manuals  .

I've done my washing at 30 & it's on the line which is a bit risky as altho it's very breezy looks like it could rain at any minute .

I have to go to the school this afternnon to meet the teacher & they always allow an hour for these & they only ever take about 30 mins & I get very annoyed at then wasting half an hour making small talk with other parents when I'd rather be working  .

There's a rumour about all kids having to take a swimming test on friday although we havent had a letter about it yet & I'm ready for a fight as DD doesnt have a certficate & I have a feeling they'll make her take the test anyway - £5.00 although she has her lessons at the school where the test is .

    Need to get on now...
