If you/your daughter give a discount, that's as good as admitting that perhaps the bike wasn't working after all0 -

I think that even though the buyer is in the wrong, I would give a discount....but only for the reason that she came to your house ...... I am not trying to scare you but she does know where you live and if she isn't an honest enough person to pay for what she knows is ok then I would be very careful and make a mental note to be a bit more cautious when selling by collection. If she was a nice person and I am out of order then go with what you feel about the person!

I don't know the address of many sellers I have bought from.
If you pay via Paypal, their address shows up on the payment summary page. If you pay by cheque or postal order....well, er, where do you send your payment?
I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....0 -
Payment summary page? I've just checked a few payment receipt e-mails I've been sent and logged into my paypal account to have a look at the details on there, but no addresses (except mine). Does it come up during the checkout and I'm just not noticing it?Noozan wrote:If you pay via Paypal, their address shows up on the payment summary page.
Edit: Nevermind, I spotted it. It's on the 'congratulations, you have won...' e-mail that ebay send you. :doh:0 -

This smacks to me of a buyer trying to pull a fast one............who in their right mind would buy...then refuse to examine something mechanical??
You were upfront with her..........and I wouldn't even entertain the idea of a partial or other refund. Trust me...if it WAS faulty when she tried it...she'd be delivering it back to you pronto mucho!!..for a full refund....not " looking for a part"..then wanting a partial refund.

Anyone can request contact info via ebay if you have had a recent transaction with that person.
Adavnced search >
Find contact info >
then enter there ID >
And Item number of the item you are trading with the above member. >
You then get a email off ebay with the details , also the other party does to.

If you let her get away with it you are encouraging her to do it again and making her and others see it as acceptable.0
