Flippin' tooth fairy forgot her! :o
    All okay this morning though.
She should really have left her double for that mistake but claimed to only have 50p in change !
Wonder if there is a customer services line to complain to?

I can see a new topic on the 'Vent Board' coming if she gets access to your computer!
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

aww, sprinkling sequins is a lovely idea!

my boy refused to believe in the tooth fairy, at 5 he was having none of it. my friends were in stitches as during a car journey he subjected me to a harsh round of questions about this fairy who couldn't possibly exist. he did believe in father christmas though, easter bunny too. i don't think he'd ever heard of the tooth fairy before reaching 5 so he didn't just accept it in the same was as he did with santa. he was only 7 when he told me he didn't believe in santa anymore, i was really upset! research revealed that most children still believe at age 9. he's a lovely naive innocent little boy, just a little too logical (mild autism).

anyway, it's £2 for the first tooth here, £1 for subsequent teeth. that was his nanny's idea, she wanted to give him an extra pound for the first tooth.

My DS1 hasn't started losing teeth yet, but his friends have. My neighbour's boy informed me only a couple of days ago that he gets £5 per front tooth and he expects more for a back tooth, but they haven't started coming out yet

I'm still hoping that £1 will cover it :D

My mum still has all our baby teeth (except the one I had extracted when I was 21)

my dd has had £1 for the very first one and 50p thereafter.Just had a difficult extraction so that will be £1.(general anaesthetic in hospital is local policy).

Becareful sprinkling sequins. I was going to do this but my H&S conscious OH told me that she might swallow them during the night if they are on the pillow. That's why I resorted to glitter nail polish on a little note!

Tell them you're following the Egyptian custom of throwing the teeth at the sun instead!
No, on second thoughts, better not - don't want to be accused of littering / contaminating the environment / creating cross-infection.

i agree that a pound should cover it, but the reason we stopped believing was the neighbours girl getting more money than we did, we realised it corresponded to the amount of pocket money given, the disposable income of the parents etc. it can't have been based on the state of the tooth as mum suggested because the neighbour's girl always had lollies from the ice cream van and was given money for sweets every single day, her teeth were in a worse state than mine.

  • When my mum was going through her dads things after he died she found all of her teeth and her brother's from the 60's! It show's some things you just can't part with!

My dd is nearly 6 and not lost a tooth yet where as my neighbours child (just 5) has just had 5 rotten teeth out at the hospital! This has shown my dd that she has to do her teeth every night and every morning!

Can't wait to do the glitter / sequins though!

When do children lose their last milk tooth? My 11 year old lost one last night. I thought she'd lost all them ages ago.
