Mumoffour - big hugs for you and your children. Is there someone who can help you with the clearing up?
Pigpen - everything crossed for your sister - it must be so stressful for her and her partner.
Pollybear - love the cactus picture. I kill all house plants sadly.

snickerdoodles - the nigella recipe version is here with uk weights : http://www.insanitytheory.net/kitchenwench/2006/11/28/snicker-dee-doo-dah-snicker-dee-day/

Anyway I am now home from work, have done DW but am struggling for motivation. I must do my invoicing for my self employed stuff before I do anything else.

    HHC 2-2.30 anyone?

also just seen that M&S have an online clearance on schoolwear, free P&P over £15. worth a look....

  • Afternoon darlings!

Firstly - mum of four - That must have been such a horrible experience and what a brave girl your daughter is. *hugs* to all of you
    Pollybear – beautiful cactus.
Valli - post me a jar of jam plssssssssss... we haven't found any blackberries this year and I so love the taste!
Pigpen - thinking of your sister...

peg etiquette... *falls over laughing*... I do like to have those rounded plastic pegs that are all pretty colours and when I was able to hang out my washing I used to make sure the colours matched on each item. My OH however just randomly pulls pegs out of my tin and doesn't care at all what colour they are *sighs*

    Ok, so todays list:
Feed cat - at least twice
Spray tiles in shower with bleach stuff (my OH always forgets)
    Prepare veg for evening meal

    File 10 peices of paperwork
    Spend an hour doing Slicethepie

    Do my daily click-thrus
    Spend an hour doing reviews

    Ok, extras for today:
Make an appt with my homeopath
    Make an appt with Dr.
Ring and arrange for 3 decorators to give me a quote
Find credit card statements and write cheques
Straighten hair as have friends coming for dinner

Spend an hour in the garden

Ok, see you all later to report in!

To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough.

Mumoffour - so sorry to hear about the burglary. The worst thing about it is if it makes you feel unsafe in your own home. I'm glad the kids have realised that it's just stuff though. If every cloud has a silver lining... maybe they'll make sure they put things away properly in future ;). I hope your friends will be able to help you out with the clearup (I cleaned my entire house from top to bottom when this happened to me - I was out, luckily, but they'd clearly been into every room and touched things - also, luckily, I didn't have anything worth nicking, seriously, they couldn't find anything they wanted except an old mobile phone and a broken fax machine :o ). You know we'll all be supporting you here.

Valli - do you offer an ironing-by-post service :rotfl: If so, can I start sending you mine - its getting back to being proper shirt season in the office and I'm not looking forward to it :o
