Bad news I have somehow screwed up on the budget. How I dont know   . I am good with figures so why do I always screw up
. If I clear the tesco cc this month and stick to budget Ill be almost £600 short.
Need to do a new spreadsheet and give up the card for cash or make instant payments the moment I charge something:j0 -
happens to us all kp
did it myself last month for got i had the ins on the card and forgot to clear it..
some companies are a bit slow putting in their bills....
luck ally im clear on the card so no charges but will pay interest if it happens this month.........Note to SELF and others..........................
1st rule ,,,,,if you use the card,,,,,as soon as your home go on line and pay it off !!!
€600 short you must have missed something major off the list ,,,,or is it an annual bill you missed????WAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING

I think its a build up of overspends each month by a couple of hundred and an error in my spreadsheet last month so I didnt pick it up sooner. I could so back and see where if I go through statements which I might do at some point. Itll only confirm what I dont have so Ill concentrate on a new cash/instant payment plan for now. Going to look to see if I can find the excel spreadsheet on here somewhere. Home comp doesnt have excel but the laptop does.:j0

Anyone fancy a holiday at our back gate?..It will be all we can afford for the next three years.:o:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I have only been doing the DFW thing for a couple of months, & I havent got the budget thing right yet.....is definitely work in progress! It looks great on paper, then something goes wrong somewhere along the line and it all goes belly up!
Dont worry KP, I'm sure you will sort it out xx0 -
Well after a carp day yesterday and feeling very low I have made an effort today to be a bit more positive.
1) put some stuff away in the bathroom
2)bribe kids to do chores including cleaning bathroom so some areas of the house look a bit better
3)spent time with OH watching and talking
4) Got a surprise invite to Sis's for dinner so very MSE although I did giver here some BS stuff for free. Had lots of fun with littles ones a handful but very cute.
5)Finally was brave enough to redo budget and spreadsheet. Results much better than first thought although will be a tight month and if we can stick to budget should only be £100 o/d by june payday.:j0 -
There you go then, never as bad as you think and you will have to think of some cunning bribes for the children. I found pocket money a waste of time so i thought of things like
3 lots of washing up = Lucky bag ( Claires ones in my daughter's case)
Hoovering= 1 credit towards a DVD, so they work out the cost of DVD and how many times they had to hoover to get it.
It worked better than pocket money and if you are really canny you can use the points on a variety of surveys, Tesco's etc and gain that way..everyone will be a happy chappy.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
