Getting rid of Vista and installing XP

Don't know about anyone else but that seems to me to be an example of how crap Lexmark are, not MS/Windows. Same with software, ANY software that doesn't work with it is solely because of how unsupportive and lazy the software developer is.

What utter nasty people you are,if the printer worked fine under xp it should have worked fine under the new 'super dooper' Vista,it didn't, was NOTHING to do with the printer,was a VISTA problem,I come across people daily who hate vista and want it off their machines,FACT.

That's Lexmark's fault for not developing the software to enable you to do that. They had enough time to do it, so please tell me why it is Microsoft's fault? If a printer doesn't work it's because it doesn't have correct drivers, not the operating system itself.

Do they know about as much about computers as you too?

Why nasty? Calling me nasty actually means you're the one being abusive, I've not made this personal. As for the printer issue, that's purely about the drivers, drivers are the responsibility of the hardware manufacturer. The manufacturers have had Vista available to them for years before release to ensure they could write new ones. If an OS were released to be fully backwards compliant it'd defeat the point of incorporating new techniques and technologies. Name one operating system that's fully backward compliant with its' previous incarnation.

Although if the complaint is blaming the OS for drivers not being available I fear that any Linux distro would fall foul of the same complaints.
