you dont search, you just sort by thread title and then all the comps ending on the same day (as long as the end date format is used) will all be grouped together

perhaps you can rewrite the instructions in the closed thread to make it clearer as it really isn't that clear now. I'm sure it will be very useful but as it's completely new a step by step guide to doing it would be best i think.

i'm going to go experiment a bit, but just in case i can't figure it out would appreciate the instruction post to be amended to include directions on the whole process rather than just part of it. ta!

Its on the bottom of the page under display options. Tick the boxes

NB 01/09 have already been moved to GAME OVER and would be harder to find as date formats in there, are all over the place.

P.S Earlier when I was looking I found a few Out Of Date comps although I can see we are down to 150 pages (was 153 earlier) so presume you may have found some of these & moved to GAME OVER, if I find anymore do I PM a BG the URL?

This will make it a lot easier to find and lets hope most people put it in this format.

The search facility is so restricted and the daily list do help newbies like myself but once the Thread Title listing has been explained you can get the hang of it.

I hope the daily list dont go as people join they normally start with them. Well i did until i got a hang of the forum.

I thought it was going to bring up all the ones on the day you wanted on the front page - it's a bit of a faff having to page through trying to find the start of the 31/08's - bit disappointed this is the system that has been chosen. I think I would have preferred carryign on with the competitions ending threads - if enough people were still willing to do them.

Have these been stopped or are they continuing?

New system might eventually find what you are looking for, but its' not exactly one touch sorting is it? More like one touch and then scroll scroll scroll scroll.....

you can roughly guess where they'll be. IF the correct format is used, the 31st ones will be at the end, so work backwards

Divadee has kindly asked a few pages back (or might be at top of this page I haven't time to go look) that NO MORE questions or discussions on or about the comp ending threads please. She, along with the other BG's, are going to have a major discussion about these over the next few days & a decision will be made shortly about if they are staying or going. Until then we, as a whole forum, are not allowed to discuss this subject so please respect that.

With respect, I can't respect what I'm not aware of and when I have a question (as when anyone does I believe) i tend to post here rather than reading through the last 10 or 20 or 100 pages to see if someone has asked something first.

I think you, and the board guides are just going to have to expect that some people won't be aware that there has already been a discussion (I don't live on these boards, just pop in and out) so we also won't be aware if people have been told not to comment further (though even if I was aware, I wouldn't perhaps like being told I couldn't comment or ask for clarification anyway!)
