Oh thank god! I was reading this quickly trying to get to the bottom and sooooo please she's home!

It happened to me a few months ago, one of my boys didn't come home and they are like yours and don't wander that far. He came back about 24hrs later, think he'd been locked in a garage or something. We were in bits and didn't sleep, we were still up at 3am wandering the streets!

I bet I know how happy you were when you saw her :D

Thanks, It's awful when they don't come home, hope this was the first and last time it happens!

I was the same as you up most of the night, wandering the streets looking for her and when I was at home I was opening the back door every 10 minutes to see if she had come back.

  • Yep exactly the same! One of would stay at home with the door open and the other would wander the streets. We then started going out driving in case he'd gone too far. We were scared he might have followed another cat somewhere. Luckily I was off work the following day, so could carrying on searching. We were sat in the living room sobbing and I saw my other boy walk behind the sofa with a cat. I thought he'd brought his gf (lol!) in again, but when I got up it was our other boy :D I've never been so happy!

I bet you grabbed her and didn't let go for aaaaaaaages! I jumped up and grabbed him and my boyfriend ran and closed the door. We just sat with him and his brother all night. They had tuna for tea! :D

Don't you just love the little darlings! They put you through all that stress and upset and then just turn up!

I grabbed her and didn't let her go for ages, she didn't want to go out all weekend! She finally went out yesterday for 15 minutes but just sat in a sunny spot in the garden and didn't move!

:(:( I heard earlier that my little kitty Mitzi's mummy was knocked down and killed at the weekend. She went out on Friday night, and didn't come home Saturday. She was found in the hedgerow on Sunday. It's so sad, she was such a beautiful little cat who added so much to her human family's lives.

Our Lily does this quite regularly, clears off witout so much as a see ya then saunters back in a few days later :rotfl:
Coco doesn't, she's too old to go far. Coco is 17+ and Lily is only 4.
I'm still not used to it though. Her most recent "holiday" was last week. Disappeared sometime on Tuesday (not exactly sure when as they have a cat flap and they come and go as they please) and came home again on Saturday morning.
    Its awful, the waiting.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

  • Uh-oh my little kitty has gone and doen this.....let him out at 5.30 this morning before I went to work and DH left window open for him to come back in, apparently he's still not home. He only usually goes for an hour or so and then comes back but its 6 hrs now....very worried he's only 9 months old.

  • Engadine - so glad he came home!!! I would be a mess if this happened with either of ours. The nearest I came was accidentally locking our littlest one in the downstairs loo, and I was frantically searching for her, she was just oblivious to it all!

Dixie06 - I hope yours comes home soon.

    xx
  • Yes he's home he was waiting at the back door mewing his head off when I got home at 2pm that day, he'd obviously been on a long adventure. He's turning into a nightmare, caught him this evening tearing lumps out of the neighbours cat.....fur everywhere!!! He's booked into the vets this week to have his little boys off hopefully that'll calm him down a bit!
