Peel a biggish potato, cut into quarters and drop into the soup, keep on a low heat for a few minutes. The potato should absorb a lot of the saltiness. HTH xxDon't put it DOWN, put it AWAY!You can't expect to Fly if you're still wearing your pyjamas! :j:j:j0

I have heard that putting raw potatoes in soup can work but I haven't tried it myself. As they cook they absorb the salt & you can then dispose of them.Hope this works. If you've added cream you may not be able to cook it further though?0

I made celery and blue cheese soup yesterday to use up the remaining celery in the garden. Now the soup is beautiful but it's full of stringy bits. So full I'm not sure I could eat it again.
Is there any way of rescuing it? Shall another blitz in the blender work or is it a lost cause? I know the celery may have simply been past it's best however it chopped ok with no obvious issues.0 -
It's from the celery. How big bits did you chop it into? I do them very short (1cm, 1/2")
Attack it with the blender again and sieve it.If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?
