Sweetness is what is needed so add to taste, sugar or honey or molasses any of these will do. HTH0

Hi everyone,
I've just made a batch of homemade tomato soup using ripe toms out of the greenhouse, a clove of garlic and an onion. Salt pepper and some herbs have been added. I've made it loads of times before (in creuset dish) and have never had any problems. This batch has an awful metallic aftertaste. So much so that I think it may be inedible. I'm leaving it overnight and will add a little cream tomorrow.
Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this. Could it be the over ripe end of season toms and is there anyway of improving the flavour.

Did you use a metal spoon when you stirred it ?0

Sometimes late toms can be quite acidic rather than sweet because of lower sunlight levels, I usually taste my tom soup and add vinegar/lemon juice and or sugar to adjust the taste.

hello ladies and gents
I hope one of you can help me:
I made some soup a while ago, carrot and lentil, and its horrid! haha! Really thick and lentil-yIts batched up in the freezer, but I just can't face eating it... Does anyone have any idea what I could do with it? Could I make up some more soup and mix it in? Put it in a pie or something?! haha. Hope someone has some ideas.
Thank you0 -
I would dilute it to a consistency you are happy with and then throw in something else...just to give it a bit of a kick. Bacon/ham or tomatoes?0
