Hi ...we decided to accept the offer (begrudgingly) and sent the paperwork back yesterday. It's too risky to go to court and in the meantime you don't know whether the insurance company would go bust.We will probably have the cheque in a couple of weeks. The solicitor has also sent the accountants letter to them RE: the loss of earnings as he didn't agree with the way the insurance were trying to work out the daily totals. So we are awaiting their response to that now.
Have been asleep most of the day on and off. It's the antibiotics. My body hates nearly all antibiotics.Only a few days to go.
DD and her friends had a good night. She didn't roll in until 7am...LOL....Not done anything today except walk to the office and pay in subs and to the shop for some bits and that's it.Going to nip and take the dogs out in a minutexxx0 -
Well in all honesty you probably needed the sleep as you have been in so much pain lately, it is your bodies way of saying relax and heal.
Hope you manage to rest tonight and you will probably begin to put the whole nightmarish situation behind you now the letter has gone off.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thanks Bob...you're probably right as for a good while I wasn't sleeping at all.
Just took the dogs out for a quick walk...I have to be careful with the Rottie as I have to keep her exsma dry and also cos she's so playful I can only take her when theres no other dogs as I don't want another dog to scratch it whilst they're playing.
I'll probably be up for a couple of hours now.Only another couple of days to go.0 -
Well you know i get touches of insomnia as well, so i know how you feel..some nights i could bang my head against a wall..and then i sleep..
Good news about the rottie as well, i was stroking a lovely one yesterday, he is a guard dog at one of the places on the canal..but adores me for some reason. I went into the office yesterday to catch up with a friend and he was so excited to see me yelped and everything..it could have been because i smelt of chicken though..:rotfl: :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

You make sure you get some rest as well, it sounds like you have been throu the mill as well as the dogs.
At least with the accountant doing the figures, the ins company cant argue much over them, its just a pain all the back and forth with it all. Hopefully your on the way up with it.
If your staying up (sorry I sound like Im bossing you,), try and relax, do something for you. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Thanks..just mulling about on here at the moment.Mine and the dogs tablets due at 12 so have to stay up for that.
Rotties don't deserve the reputation they have. They are such gentle dogs. It's the way they are brought up that causes the problem ours just acts like a baby. She loves to sit and give cuddles.I'd post pictures if I knew how to do it and I don't know how to do links either...so thick me!!!..but you'd all love her.
RE: the accountants figures and the insurance...the insurance just split the yearly figure in to even amounts per day.My accountant didn't agree with them as we are a seasonal town..so the time he was off was in the height of the season so busier so more money....and the money in winter is less than the daily amount they stated IYSWIM....the insurance on their figures worked out £78 per day for his loss of earnings but on the proper side in summer he takes just oiver £100....mon,tues, weds,thurs,£200 + fri,£200+ sat and £150+ on sundays...so they are having a laugh!!!
They'll still have us over no doubt though.0 -
Shout Z, he is a whizz with all things to do with piccies and you will be posting up lovely ones before you know it..
Cheeky boogers over the figures as well.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

It always amazes me how fast an Insurance company will take your dosh and how SLOWWWWWWWWW they are at handing any of it back! Oh and if they can get away with paying less than they should, they will :mad:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
