We sit here with the curtains shut at the moment and the lounge ones really need to come down so that they can be dry cleaned. If it is going to cost a fortune for dry cleaning then I'll probably end up buying new curtains eventually. They smell as I was a dirty smoker.
I figure that I won't need the lights on so will save electric...LOL...
Why on earth did I buy dry clean only curtains.
I need to have blinds or something as our front window is straight onto the pavement(like a coronation st house) so people can see in when they pass.Hence the curtains being shut.
I need so much work doing in this house.Plastering, plumbing ,joinery ,kitchen, decorating etc etc..the list goes on.
I should be proud though that we have had 2 new fires and fireplaces and that we have had the whole house fitted with new DG and new front and back doors..It takes so long to do everything....

The new blinds will make a big difference. It's pretty impressive that in the last year you have replaced the doors and fireplaces AND paid 25k off your debts AND had a holiday. You should feel really proud.

Hi all..done a bit of de-cluttering tonight and cleaning.I wanted to move a large chest of drawers into an alcove but had to clear loads of toiletries off it first..lol...(luclkily my DD did the heaviest work)..so then needed to do loads of polishing and needed to sweep the floor.
Ended up with a bin bag full of rubbish..mainly packaging off the toiletries and 3 carrier bags of books ..threw those away as well...don't have time to do car boots etc....
Need to sort the rubbish bag out but can't recycle a lot of the cardboard as it's gold and silver!!!
