A friend of the family told me that you could strain meths by cutting the crusts off an unsliced loaf of bread and pouring the lovely blue liquor through. very strong, very cheap. Mmmmmm, meths.

Shame it makes you go BLIND, that is why they dye it blue, to stop you drinking it:rolleyes:

    DONT DO IT !!!!!!!!!

  • As the leading goalscorer of Everton FC the fact that it's blue makes it all the more attractive. The only problem is my kids only like red or orange drinks. anyone know where Breezers are cheap?
And if, you know, your history...
  • Most of the year at Iceland stores you will find Carslberg Export (5% abv)440ml cans at about £4.80 on a bogof offer which equates to £2.40 per 4 pack or £0.60 per can (£1.36 per litre) Great value - Hic!

The co-op are doing a Glenfiddich 12 year old malt for about £19 as far as I can remember. This is a very good saving on the normal price and is extremely good.
  • Hi , I noticed in the local rag last night that Lidls' are selling South African Cabarnet Sauvignon at £2.49 and South African Pinotage at £2.29 . I read recently that Cabarnet Sauvignon is the best of the red wines for the health benefits to protecting against heart disease ( in moderation of course)

Sainsburys' are selling 2 bottles of the frixinet cava for £8. until the 29th November. I noticed the price in Asda last night @ £6.94 per bottle, good buy I think.

    £16.69 at Morrisons
Same old same old since 2008

  • Hi , I'm just back from Morrisons and they are having a wine sale. I bought
this spanish wine @ £5 for 2 bottles will let you know if it's any good.
It is called Berberana Marino and it is white or red. There is no description of the wine on the label (it is mostly spanish) but it does say it is the perfect compliment to good food. I will keep you posted.

ASDA have several NICE bottles of wine half price at the moment. Still £4 and £5 but decent stuff. Can't remeber what it was, but it's the top of the range in the Kumala and Hardy's brand
