Netto does a fake Bailey's for £3.99, is very nice a little lighter which some people may prefer. They also do some really good red wines Cawara for at least £1-£2 less than most shops is a good one.

    :D
also try IRISH KNIGHTS from asda 2.94 a bottle - yumyum!

Canto de Flora Chilean wines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc - delicious) made by top firm Errazuriz £2.99.
multiple award-winning Cruz 1997 Vintage Character Port £3.99.
  • In Tesco, £2 off Lindauer Brut, down to £5.99. Doesn't sound like much of a saving but I promise it will be better than any bargain basement champagne (for example, Tesco's own). I've bought a couple of bottles myself... I'm not sure if they'll last until Christmas though if I'm honest...

I noticed on GMTV the other day that Jean Christophe Novelli recommended a bottle of Champagne from Asda at £10.67, they currently have an offer on where if you buy Asda Champagne Brut, 75cl you get 10% off if you get six bottles or more. There is more info here on his recommendations on other items.

  • Marks & Spencer have got a couple of champagnes on offer at £9.99 a bottle. I bought a box of 6 "Lavenue Champagne" for £56.94, opened a bottle & it is very nice indeed at the money. Very lively, ever so slightly sweeter than dry but not a demi-sec. Long lasting fine bubbles. Creamy & bicuity. Tastes more pinot noir than chardonnay.

Sainsbury's have been doing 2bottles of Freixenheit (not sure of spelling!) for £8 & if you buy 6 you still get the 5% off as well. Bonus - the 5% is off the Full price of the bottles not the 2for£8, basically I got 6 bottles for £22!

Better be quick though 'cos I'm not sure how long the offer is for.

Hi The above offer is on until 29 th November
  • Asda have dropped the price on a large pack of 24 bottles of Grolsch to 2 for £16 this morning (ie. £8/case, 33p/bottle 300ml) - one week only I think.

Must dash, off to Asda to stock up for Christmas...
    am I missing something ??
