I have not received my voucher either.

I have a horrible feeling that mine was blocked by the Spam filter on hotmail.

It may be too late but those who have not received a voucher could try turning off or downgrading their spam filters.

I think us money savers should sign up to a 'Code of Ethics' to try and stop people abusing the system, as some of the stuff I've heard has been really out of order.

Try emailing Play. That's what my OH did and he eventually got his voucher.

my husband doesn't have a spam filter on his domain though so they must have not emailed him at all. if the confirmation gets through why wouldn't the code? can somebody who got the code confirm that it comes from the same email address as the confirmation?

I e-mailed them twice (23rd and 24th Nov) and received a reply on the 25th saying sorry, heres the voucher etc.:

The original confirmation address I have was "Play.com"<dailymirror@play.com>

and the e-mail giving me the voucher details was
    "Customer Support"<info@play.com>

  • If you haven't received your voucher and you still have the confirmation email they sent you, don't give up hope yet.

I forwarded the confirmation email to both of the email addresses given, at least half a dozen times, stating that my friends who entered the promotion after me had received their vouchers and I had not and that they were breaching the Terms and Conditions etc etc.

I put receipts on all the emails I sent and could see that they were even deleting my messages without reading them, but eventually they did read them (I gave my emails the subject line "Please stop deleting my messages without reading them!") and they did eventually send me a £5 voucher at the end of last week.

    Good luck.

they were deleting your messages without reading them ?!!!!!

that's awful. something needs to be done about it, it looks like it is all just a big email collecting scam.

Yes, not just mine either. There's another thread running here with others reporting the same thing.

I agree, the whole thing has been a farce.

they might be deleting any emails with the Daily Mirror offer mentioned in the subject.

Try changing it to something else and see if that at least gets the email read, or even make it look as if it's regaring an order: "Re: Confirmation of order received by play.com" or "Re: Your order has been posted" or "RE: Address Verification (Please contact us)"
