OH just spoke to someone at Play. They claim that all the vouchers have been sent out and that if he hasn't heard by email that he's got one then tough. Put simply.

OH is going to send them yet another email. This is shocking.

Let's not forget, these forums offer a way for people to cheat other companies' promotions by sharing information that would legitimately have to be gained in some other way...

I'm sure there are at least 1500 people who never bought the newspaper or just "applied for one for hubby". They're just as guilty of cheating the spirit of the offer as one guy who writes a script.

I sent them an e-mail then another. Both were read (I get read receipts) this morning and yet they havent replied!

And what happened to "you will receive an email if successful or not"? They are breaking their own t's and c's?

I think a call from everyone who didnt get one is required. I would als like a "list of winners" that you can get in most competitions like this to see just who got the vouchers. I know it would take ages to go through it but would be interesting to see nontheless.

One for watchdog I think!

PS - I did buy the paper as I did last time.

I just spoke to someone at play myself. He also confirmed all e-mails "should" have been sent out by now - including the "you have been unlucky" or the "£1" ones. If you havent heard by now then something went wrong with your application.

I pointed out I applied before a lot of people who got it and its meant to be first come...etc. He said that is true it is.

Gave him my postcode and e-mail address. He will go look into it and e-mail me the result as well as call me. He has no idea what has gone wrong.

Call them now. Point this out. If you have your receipts it will have time of application on it and you can use that as an argument.

Will keep you informed...

PS - They do a database search by e-mail address and postcode. That is what they go by.

I emailed them and got the response below, so if you haven't received a voucher yet there is still hope.

"The vouchers will be issued from Monday 21st November until Friday 25th November. The first 75000 entrants will receive £5 vouchers, with the remaining entrants receing £1 vouchers."

Any response by email would be useful....haven't got a thing as yet, despite multiple emails.

PH has pointed out the 'first come first served' bit.....didn't get an answer.

I am in the same boat!!! I was one of the first to apply... I think.

I am sure there are many people who got more than one vouchers. Personally I believe that to get what you need is acceptable, but if you waste the resources, while taking away others’ chances, that is different.

Just spoken to someone at Play. They said there had been a few problems and some had gone missing. They are looking into it, and will get back to people who contact them. Worth an email or phone call.
