hi all
Spent £4.34 so far and hoping to be well within budget for this first challenge as DH has just bought a motorbike. I have bought half a pig and am going to pick it up on Saturday. Does anyone know what it includes as I forgot to ask?
Thanks

Oh Dear not doing very well with my challenge so far.
On a budget of 160 for the month have spent £65.73 already... Got another 3 weeks left..... £94.97 left. I have done a menu and have enough food for another 8 days. Might have to start really cutting back on things. Or just not take him shopping!!!! lolNo one said it was going to be easy!!

Hi Princess Leia :hello:
I had my eyes laser corrected 6 years ago (back then the cost was £2k  ) and I just wanted to say its the BEST THING EVER. You wont regret it, it is amazing having 20/20 vision back within hours - GOOD LUCK!!!
I'll second that. Had mine done about 2 years ago and have never looked back. I am so squeamish about anything and still can't believe that I did it. Its really a straight forward procedure, it was my own anxiety that made it tense for me. It was a breeze. Mine was £3000, reduced to £2400 via an offer at my place of work. Good luck to you.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -
Forgot to mention I spent £1.50 on juice yesterday. Have decided not to get my monthly Asda delivery just yet. Freezer and cupboards are still fairly full due to us eating out a lot last month. So I'll stick to occasional top ups until I really need the delivery. Will get a lot of the not so popular stuff finally eaten!Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

Went to MrT last night spent £30. Have done a monthly meal plan and all we need for rest of month dinners is chicken for 3 dinners and prob frozen veg top up. Plenty of meat in from last month when was doing GC, was on offer 3 pack for £10 in MrT. Pretty happy to be back on track!
Really considering doing a ham in slow cooker for sandwiches. How long would cooked ham keep in fridge please someone?
I need a bigger freezer! And to get back into hob nob and flapjack routine!0 -
Well, I spent £51.13 on groceries yesterday, out of my £80 target. I did get a lot of meat though (from Costco, so bulk buy), so my freezer is full of it and I shouldn't need to buy more until next month. Therefore, I am quietly confident that I can make it on target. I know, I know, still 4 weeks to go!0

I usually cook my ham on a sunday, slice it up ready for lunches during the week and it will happily keep in the fridge till friday. I think it will keep fresh for upto 10 days but have never kept it that long. There was a 'Ham Economics' thread on O/S recently which as usually was full of great info
