Don't know where you buy from but I use either www.yogurtdirect.co.uk or www.wahlshop.co.uk both are cheaper than high street even allowing for p&p.
Hi mama67, I have also bought from yogurtdirect, but you have to spend £35 to get free P&P, I begrudge paying for delivery if I can help it. This time I've ordered from Lakeland, they have packs of 5 so have ordered a couple of flavours for myself too. I agree its cheaper than on the High Street, but we seem to get through so much.0 -
Hello all - just getting in under the wire to declare £236.27 for September as against a target of £150!
If I were to do some massaging of the figures I could knock of £9 for an M&S voucher used, deduct £6 for the ice cream the OH put in the trolley as I would never buy it (he actually paid for that shop), and......... if I were to deduct alcohol then I could knock off a shocking £33.60:eek: .....which would bring me down to £187.67 which is much closer to where I should be:D
I did find that by the time I had gone over budget I started to get that "what the heck..." feeling and became less careful.
I am going for the same again in October - must be more disciplined from now on as taking massive paycut - gulp!
Thanks for all the tips and the cheery chatter!

Hello all,
Declaring £246.52 for September against our target of £200. That's included a major restocking of both wine and laundry detergent, and half of what I spent on the pick-your-own raspberries (figuring the rest of the jam will be Christmas presents - but probably in the end I will give even more than half the jars away as there were so many). But I suppose restocking will always be happening so will need to watch out in future.
I'll declare a target over on the October thread but will aim for £200 again.
Thanks,
safMarch GC: £147.75/£180 groceries + £36.75/£50 meals out
February: £163.19/£180 + £66.14/£50 monthly budget for eating out Total £229.33/£230 :j
January: £170.01/£1700 -
Hi All
Hardly been on the last couple of weeks, really busy at the moment.
I am Declaring - £389.65 for September!!!!!!!!! I was doing really well to start with but this does include shopping from yesterday which includes catfood and washing powder which will obviously last me into October, along with the other stuff I bought. Not really pleased but I suppose it could have been a lot worse.
Have a good October, I will be in again for £350 again, hopefully I will be able to get on here more which may help.
Good luck for October everyone. TaffyNeed to sort my life out! :T0 -
I spent £316.00 on food, drink, cleaning supplies and nappies last month. That includes £50 on my older lad's school dinners and £40 on my husband's weekly drinking with an ex work colleague and we had very little food in the house at the start, so feeling ok about it.0

Hi all
I'm very disappointed with how we have done this month spending £330:eek:  a massive £80 over. I need to get a grip in October, hoping too...:D , what with Christmas coming up..... I will aim to keep a track on any £5.00 vouchers this month that might be in the paper, keep vouchers etc....
I got to a point similar to sparklymessygirl where I thought, never mind I have blown it this month..
See you all in October grocery challenge and well all the best for then. I will stick at £250 for October please.
Regards, Mr and mrs t0 -
Hi all
Havent been on here for a few weeks. Somehow I dont think I will be able to catch up with this months posts
Anyway I am declaring £377.57 from a budget of £300. Not as good as I wanted but hey, its only my 1st month and its been a real eye-opener adding up all the groceries in the month. Was aiming for around £75 a week but I didnt realise how much all the 'little pop-to-the-shop' spends add up.
Please put me down for £300 again for October. Will see how it goes this time....
Good luck everyone!I need direction to perfection...0 -
I'm declaring 107.28 for September, so well over my original 95.00 aim! Am planning to move back to 100.00 for October, Mrs M, as that should include starting to buy a couple of things for Christmas food (like Lidl stollen - mmm!).0
