If you are confused between manual & auto, then as a thumb rule you should always go for automatic.

This is because anyone conversant with manual won't even ask this question!
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

Personally I feel far less comfortable driving an auto then a manual cause I just don't feel quite as much in control of the car as silly as it might sound to some.

But what people are saying is true it is down to personal choice.

Why don't you see if you can drive one of each a little to see how u feel?

I think it is a good idea to be able to drive both manual and auto competently.

Can I suggest something? Although you have passed your test, you can take 'lessons' still to bring on and advance your driving skills. ie Motorway driving etc.

It is all experience at the end of the day.

I mean, I noticed that someone has clobbered one of my wing mirrors today - probably a male driver.. :D
