Sorry to post when I haven't got anything to report, but I'm fed up of just lurking and I wanted to say "Hi!"!
My car blew up (not quite literally, but it was more dramatic than I'm comfortable with!) last Friday, so I am transportless. No public transport round here. So my lovely plans for the rest of the week (DSs back to school tomorrow - so why did DS1 leave it till today to announce that he needs a new geometry set??!!) to go Bootsing and use some pinkies and till spits have all gone out the window. Very fed up!
No fun being a grown up sometimes, is it .....
Keep posting your lists tho, and I'll continue with my vicarious virtual Bootsing..
Wonder if I'll get mobile before the vouchers run out, aaargh!!
Thanks for the posts, Ladies, and sorry for nothing to report here!0 -
HELP!
I just been in a Boots today... and tryed to get the TS glitch at the self-serve tills. I didn't notice that a SA was watching me and when she saw on the screen 0.01 si started screeaming that I'm trying to steal, that I put the voucher twice and I don't know what. I asked her to go to the man handled tills and did the same transaction and ... surprise 0.01 to pay. She said that it's not ok, that I have to pay 6.99 anyway to get a free product, than I asked her to call a manager ... but she called security. The guy put the items in the till again and again 0.01 ... he didn't know what to do, the SA was still with hers that I tried to do something ... in the end he said if I want to pay for them I said I don't ant them and left... I felt really bad, being acused of stealing , being called the security... I don't think they were in their right to act like I am a thief ... (it's their fault it's a missprice and if I'm trying to pay for something and it goes through the till at this price it's not my fault...)
Anyway I'm not using SS tills anymore, at least at the normal tills they say you can't have this.... actually I did the TS glitch at a normal till in another Boots last week (had to pay 1.01 and the guy at the till was smiling...)
Is it ok to be treated like that... I didn't make anything illegal... I felt really really bad... (almost want to give up bootsing)
that is awful but please don't let it put you off, you weren't doing anything wrong. just completely forget about it and start again. don't let one person ruin it for you.0 -
I'm not sure I said about it, but yes DS has the v smile baby, I got it for his birthday. It is aimed at 9-36 months. He only now is taking an interest in at 16 months as really it is just the unit alone they use as a toy at first and they play the interactive games when linked to the tv from 18 months really.
It comes with one cartridge which is not that grat in my opinion, then there are 3 more you can buy...dad at the farm, baby einstein and baby pooh.
So really I think the optimum time for this is 18-36 months, but again I think they would play with it longer than 3 years as the systems for afterwards like the standard v smile are for 3 to 7 year old and my friend bought one for her sons third birthday and he found it too difficult until he reached 4 to be honest.
I did a real search on prices for these and ebay is the best really!
well no u didnt say buy saw it in one of your pics the other day. i got jess the little touch leap pad last xmas and shes only just started playing with that (18 months) so wasnt sure what to get her.Having read what you've said i may just stick with this one for now and get some more books for it :rolleyes:im not allowed to say what i think so ner!:p0 -
Hiya Becky1236 is there no serum left in any of the boots in birmingham as i am going there tomorrow and really want to get some.
Anyone else if i was to buy the 5.99 thermal long hair wrap and then anything else would it leave 1.01 to pay instead of 0.01p i dont really want to spend 1.01 as i am cheap lol and i have about 8 vouchers left thanks to SUNNYDAWN who is an absolute star !!! Aaaww what a pain! If you can not get someone to pick one up and are ordering groceries online till it is sorted out, tesco do this for £1.50 on their groceries website(ie not the 'direct' site):0 -

Hello all!

Well i was in Birmingham high street boots.... and I go over to the TS part looking for the oh so preious(sp) serum (havent even done this glitch once yet:eek:) ... Anyway.. there was this woman standing next to me.. I was thinking hm, lynx... looking at the TS... So i said 'Theres a voucher to use on this' And she was like 'Yeah I know thats why im buying it' ...... Hmmm, So i was like 'oh, how did you find out about it?' She replied 'The internet' ...'Me too!' My first meeting with another bootser.. I was reading the other day about this happening to someone else.. And i was like, that would be well weird.. But, she said she goes on 'pay to shop' more than MSE, how could anyone ever compare to you guys aye?! :A :happyhear her username 'rosy***' - forgot what numbers it ended with - I did feel abit embrassed though.. As i was having a real ugly day (even worse than usual days )- but she was lovely :A
