Thanks Scarlett - so yet another offer where they are effectively paying you to take stuff out of the shop! I just love this! Went to London at the weekend with a stock of skincare tillspits & the magazine 200pt vouchers, bought about 7 "free" items in different Boots, they paid me effectively £2 to take each one away. It's mad.

Ok...trying to word this in english as he has just phased me :rolleyes:

SEL reductions are variable, depending on how the item sells in that store for the original price.

So that means your store can sell the remainder of its stock for £20 as it has been doing so succesfully, before the 'replacement' item needs to be displayed.

In stores where people have not been buying the case it is reduced to £5 as it has not been selling and they will not sell off the stock before the 'replacement' hits the sales plan.

This works out simpler than them transfering stock to stores that will succesfully sell the item before the 'replacement' needs shelf space.

Hope that makes sense.

Another question, what happens to the Clinique, Lancome etc GWPs that don't sell? Because I never see them on offer for cheap. Thats it no more questions I think 3 is enough for one post. Thanks

They get sent back and then they are sold to wholesalers who sell to people like ebayers etc

Hence 30 odd berry bags in my local for full price whilst everyone else was getting them for £2.50!! They sold them all too LOL
